  1. I have a problem with #FoundryVTT

    Is anyone aware of a working replacement for the Simple Fog module? Specifically what I need is to cover my gridless city map completely with fog, and then "paint away" the fog with a brush as the party explores. The Simple Fog module worked great for this, but it doesn't work with the current version of #Foundry, unfortunately.

  2. A long weekend, so time for another development diary video for Mongoose Traveller 2e on FoundryVTT. This coincides with the 0.20 release, which updates how status effects work. Also adds in support for French localisation.

  3. OK, here's my plan; before I get into fucking around and finding out with self hosting Fedi stuff, I'm gonna sort out using Foundry VTT.

    I've had it a year and still not managed to set it up to actually use it yet thanks to time and spell slots...

  5. Tonight on #PF2E! The campaign reaches a minor milestone as the party finally and truly defeats Blorgorpfh, the Evil Octopus of Ultimate Evil, who was lurking in the flooded temple at the bottom of the sea! Two of Blorgorpfh's loathsome spawn escaped, however, so... villains set up for next campaign?

    The evening's enjoyment was somewhat marred by #ForgeVTT / #FoundryVTT, the performance of which was hot garbage. Multiple players (including me, the GM) had to reload, inputs ranged from painfully slow to completely non-registered, and more. It was NOT a complex map with a lot of walls, tokens, and light effects, so I can only guess that after 20 levels and however many system updates, the thing is just collapsing under its own weight.

    Hopefully it can hold on long enough to finish one last story arc...

  6. So.. With a little help from my buddy Claude. I have my DnD Ravenloft setting, "Echoes lament" building a foundry vtt module via CI/CD in gitlab.

    I love when my nerd hobbies come together so nicely.

    Its not quite done enough that I want folks trying to use it yet, but once it is, ill likely share it for free. At least the .md files, and the Foundry vtt module. Not sure if i'd have any interest in trying to build it for other VTT's.

  11. Released v0.19.0 of Mongoose Traveller for FoundryVTT. It would have been 0.18.10, but I've noticed that Foundry sometimes has problems when switching to a double digit version component.

    A few small updates:
    * Option to display hex in world UWP dropdowns
    * World trade codes can now be manually set
    * World factions can now be hidden
    * Added a 'Skill Request' macro.
    * Improvements to Spanish translations.

    I use [kanka](kanka.io/) for my worldbuilding stuff because it's self-hostable.
    I planned to move everything to [otterwiki](otterwiki.com/) one day maybe...

    For the virtual tabletop stuff.. I found [mythic table](gitlab.com/mythicteam/mythicta). #FoundryVTT is self-hostable but not #opensource.

  14. Pois não consigo que #FoundryVTT me cargue os compendios de PNJ e locais que tinha de versões anteriores à 11.

    Supõe-se que se convertem automaticamente pero saem baleiros e nada do que tentei funciona.

    A info não está perdida (os .db são apenas json, podo ler todo), pero vaia leira converti-lo a mão a outro formato.

    E já nem digamos usa-lo em físico! Por sorte as fichas das PJ tenho-as em PDF também…

    Leção aprendida sobre guardar as cousas só em formatos arcanos.

  15. Pushed out another version of Mongoose Traveller 2e for FoundryVTT. Adding in support for extra statistics on worlds, including listing planets and stars in the system.

    Also, updated my Traveller Map Tools so that worlds can be directly imported into Foundry now from TravellerMap.

  19. I'm also learning as I go when it comes to Obsidian. This program is amazing at helping me track things and I'm just using the free version. I've got plugins that I'm testing out for my needs, as well as learning how to create a DM screen. I'd use pre-made mods in FoundryVTT, but since this is my own system there really isn't one that fits all my needs. I am still using FoundryVTT but that is for the gameplay, dice rolling, combat, and the general use of token placements.

    Ho creato una scena ambientata nel quartiere Animoid Row con la mappa presa dal pdf dell'RPG, effetto pioggia gentilmente offerto da foundry e mp3 di sottofondo con la musica del film originale. Il tutto parte in automatico quando si attiva la scena.

It is crazy to me how many #FoundryVTT modules try to pull the "sub to my patreon plz" method of making money when what makes Foundry so cool is it is a amazing piece of software that is a onetime purchase. Like no dude I am not going to be tied to a leash for your "content". I will figure out something else

  25. Ok, ci sto prendendo gusto. #FoundryVTT mette a disposizione molti strumenti per semplificare la vita del giocatore in solitaria, in particolare se si hanno a disposizione i moduli ufficiali del sistema di gioco --> un sacco di artwork e di tabelle "rollabili" per generare eventi casuali.
    Non sono ancora del tutto sicuro del COME sto usando alcuni strumenti. Ad esempio, sto usando parecchio il journal ma ho il sospetto che alcune cose si possano tracciare meglio in altro modo. Vedremo.
