I tried doing this in #Dungeonscrawl which would be even easier but unfortunately, the export function in DS for multiple map files isn't compatible with the importer in #FoundryVTT - the latter tries to add all walls for all levels. I could do each of the levels as an individual file I guess but that would be awkward to organise.
Also I can work offline with #Dungeondraft which is useful when taking my laptop out to pubs etc.

I see that the .ds files that are output by Dungeonscrawl are .zip files containing a single file called "map", that is a JSON encoded structure representing the map. I reckon I could parse that into something the Roll20 API map importer could support. It should be possible to make a map in Dungeonscrawl and rapidly import door/wall/light sources into Roll20. Thing is, if I can do it, why haven't Roll20?

Also mit "herum spielen" 😄

#Roll20 is integrating #DungeonScrawl into the VTT to really upgrade live mapping.
This is great for #OSR groups where the players are mapping for themselves. Having grown up playing this way in B/X, it can be a pretty fun and immersive way to do things vs modern fog of war techniques.
#FoundryVTT has some add ons that are similar, but Dungeon Scrawl has much easier usability. I am so looking forward to this pushing all the VTTs forward in this department.

next up on the #dungeon23 test run in the Black Lair of Malice.
5. Common Room. An ancient well sits along the fall wall with a few goblins and kobolds lounging around it. The Boss Orc has made the raised altar their own space with the use of a few curtains and other debris.
Boss Orc is similar to regular orc but with double the hp, two attacks, and can turn invisible once per day.

#dungeon23 test still going on. Next for The Black Lair of Malice.
Room 2. Stone Pathway. An elevated stone pathway connects rooms 1 & 3. Two sets of stairs lead to the floor below.
T1. Any weight over 50 lbs causes the corner of the walkway to collapse into the room below.
T2. A fake door opens to a stone wall full of goblin graffiti.

#dungeon23 test dungeon. The Black Lair of Malice. (thanks DonJon https://donjon.bin.sh)
Room 1. Goblin Den. 2d4 + 1 goblins guard a treasure chest set on a high ledge. The chest contains 19 cp, a ring of iron keys, and a compass.
