The amazing Dallas Dhu preserved distillery south of Forres. The distillery was built in 1898-9 and closed in 1983. It reopened as a visitor attraction in 1988 and gives an excellent insight into the distiller’s art. More pics and info: https://www.undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/forres/dallasdhu/index.html

@stefanierueckert I love #transition towns! I have been in #Auroville, #Findhorn, #Bokel and one pretty unknown one "near" Hamburg (where I forgot the name - really really small, full of volunteers and they a small nice cafe and some animals around, but I think they belong to some religious cult within the Rudolf Steiner area :D ) so far and it is always a so incredible experience. E.g. my profie picture of a wind turbine is from Findhorn (#Scottland) from 2017 owned and established by the people of this movement, btw nearby in #Forres is one of the few real #organic #scotch distillery Benromach, and funny: I slept in a barrel (in the right one on the picture and on the left side were the hosts - super friendly! He was doing IT (there are lot of people with IT around this town and there were getting more) and she was doing #permaculture). They did a tour on how they build new houses for those new IT people joining this movement - really really interesting. This is how things should be.
