  1. @MaQuest Fun fact: My distant cousin, Mike Scott of #TheWaterboys, spent some time at #Findhorn -- and found lots of inspiration there!

  2. 'The Findhorn Beach Huts', watercolour, 58 x 37 cm. A painting of the new beach huts overlooking the Moray Firth of northern Scotland in bright sunshine, with the distant mountains of Sutherland beyond.. This is our latest print offering, and the original is available too!

  3. We recently enjoyed revisiting our #RiverDivie - #DunphailCastle - #RandolphsLeap route and have updated the guidance. Although this is a wonderfully scenic route, especially in Autumn, some sections are a little precipitous and may not suit all walkers … 😀

  4. 'Findhorn Bay', watercolour, 58 x 37 cm. This beautiful tidal bay on the Moray Firth coast of northern Scotland is a haven for wildlife. We're looking north-west here with the mountains of the far north visible above the entrance to the bay.
Prints are available - see robwighamwatercolours.com/nair for prices and details!

  5. Decided to spend the day getting blown away on the beach at Findhorn on the Moray Coast. The beach huts are fairly famous, and one or two are currently up for sale if you have a spare £30k. The beach itself is made up of large stones rather than sand, so the noise of the stones smashing on the shore is awesome on a fierce day like today.

  6. The whole of the (sort of) #Findhorn #cult / #community is fascinating to be honest; the more I’ve looked into it, the more it seems idealised & #utopian. I’d definitely recommend further research #ecovillage #ufo #spiritualism #flyingsaucers #nature #NatureSpirits

  7. Just after #WorldPianoDay so hopefully OK to post this snippet of Dmytro Morykit discovering a new piano in Findhorn.
He'll now play a concert on it on 30th April. 🙂

  9. @annaleen I am lucky to have lived in such a #community, which is now celebrating more than 65 years. It is not perfect, but the values of being present and focus on care for plants and nature is are exactly what #Findhorn #ecovillage is all about: living with intention. #solstice meditation today will connect many of us around the world.

  10. 'Findhorn Bay Sunset', watercolour, 74 x 53 cm. I sketched for this sitting on the veranda of a very nice house by the bay; in the evening stillness you could hear the voices of the people on the boats. Nowhere does sunsets like Findhorn Bay! (in northern Scotland)

  11. As the rain sluices down from concrete skies here in Northumberland, my photograph app tells me this was the rather more optimistic outlook four years ago today at Findhorn Bay…

  12. @stefanierueckert I love #transition towns! I have been in #Auroville, #Findhorn, #Bokel and one pretty unknown one "near" Hamburg (where I forgot the name - really really small, full of volunteers and they a small nice cafe and some animals around, but I think they belong to some religious cult within the Rudolf Steiner area :D ) so far and it is always a so incredible experience. E.g. my profie picture of a wind turbine is from Findhorn (#Scottland) from 2017 owned and established by the people of this movement, btw nearby in #Forres is one of the few real #organic #scotch distillery Benromach, and funny: I slept in a barrel (in the right one on the picture and on the left side were the hosts - super friendly! He was doing IT (there are lot of people with IT around this town and there were getting more) and she was doing #permaculture). They did a tour on how they build new houses for those new IT people joining this movement - really really interesting. This is how things should be.
