It occurred to me just now that I never was a part of the algorithmic social media platform (be it Twitter, Facebook, or otherwise…), I only used twitter via third-party app and never had the algorithm shoved into my eyes. When Twitter killed apps, I moved to #Mastodon.
I watched everyone I know fall into that it though. Nothing I ever told them about how unhealthy it was ever seems to land properly.

Me too, as a 4 year old in 1964.
#Anaesthesiologist asked me, a 4 year old, to count backwards from a hundred as he put the mask on me. Really? A 4 year old counting backwards from 100!! FFS!
Then, later they #forcefed me ice cream (the Mater Children’s Hospital in Brisbane) until I threw up an incredible amount of blood - to me as a child anyway!
They never offered me ice cream again & even the thought of it made me feel sick for years after.

A few months ago, I started a #discord #server with the hope of getting people I know away from #algorithm based #content and #socialmedia.
I wanted (still do) a server that is an #intentionalcommunity of #humans, who come from all different walks of life, and have different strengths and interests, all in one place... without content being #forcefed to them... and without #religion being forced upon them. A place where the main goal is to succeed as a whole, and where we help each other out.
I'm still working on building it up... but is this something anybody would be interested in joining, at some point?
