Did you know that our film guides feature introductions to the films?
They also almost always include a letter from the filmmaker and/or a filmmaker profile, and sometimes include behind the scenes stories about the making of the film.
Many of our film guides include #MediaLiteracy lessons tied to that specific film, and we also offer more generally applicable media literacy and #FilmLiteracy lessons and teaching tools as well. For example, our #SchindlersList guide includes a letter from Steven Spielberg with an amazing story from the film set. Our #Wadjda film guide includes a profile on Haifaa al-Mansour, the first woman film director in Saudi Arabia. And our #HiddenFigures guide explores shooting scripts with real script pages from the film.
