Four days after arriving back in the Neath I've gone from squashing Sorrow-Spiders to duelling members of the Black Ribbon Society, in a bid to make a name for myself.
So far I've only managed to defeat Colonel Pommery, and am now nursing a not-inconsiderable number of wounds, so it might be time for a bit of a lie down... 😉

Enjoying just pootling around doing early-game stuff, checking out the onboarding storylets that I'm pretty sure didn't exist back "in my day", and also realising I've genuinely missed being in the Neath.

It's that time of year in #GuildWars2 when we players are all about farming orphans. If I had a penny for every online game where farming orphans for resources was a thing I would have two pence. Not much I know but weird how it's happened twice.

You can do plenty for free & never pay a dime; it's not a game that's pushing about microtransactions. I do pay for the monthly subscription though; the Exceptional Story (paid subscribers only) last month with the trans mathematician in dream-world was really great.

It's Hallowmas in Fallen London - playing the first few stories this morning was a good reminder that this is indeed a horror game, even though I've been busy publishing newspapers, engaging in elaborate espionage abroad, and establishing Rebel's Unionville, a new city for the tracklayers who built my railroad line to Hell.
