People who respond to antisemitism with "Not all Jews" or "Not all Israelis" agree with or support Netanyahu miss the point.
Demanding Jews (Israeli or not) be politically aligned with "our side" or else risk threats of discrimination or violence is not positive because it makes basic safety conditional.
Demanding that people have a specific political agenda (and especially to either announce or denounce it on demand) perpetuates and even strengthens dual loyalty myth. It is a demand that should never be made of anyone.
Therefore while it is indeed true that not all Jews, or not all Israelis are a political monolith, responding with "Not All Jews" is wrong.
The right response is to hold individuals accountable for their actions, not entire groups.

I've been a staunch #Wikipedia defender before, even when it was well known they have a questionable history with money, collecting a huge trove that could keep them operating for years and grow, while begging for money and making questionable spending decisions.
Nonetheless, I've defended them.
Now with Wikipedia shutting down "In solidarity with Palestinians", it's time to discuss some of their long standing issues with Jews, including Holocaust disinformation:

As a Jew, I can see the way someone is really smart, creative, or artistic in one area, but they may also be antisemitic.
I wish more people would do the opposite- realize that someone might be brilliant in one area, but their hatred of Jews is wrong, instead of an indication that "they must be onto something".

This week was a very scary one for Jewish students in the United States, as an "anti-Israel" policy was adopted by the American Anthropological passed an anti-Israel measure the AAA itself describes as part of the BDS movement, which does not call for peace in the middle east, but instead whose leaders call for the destruction of Israel and the murder or forced displacement of its inhabitants.
The BDS movement has also been involved in efforts such as the Boston Mapping Project, which created a map of Jewish institutions to target, which included synagogues and Jewish day schools.
The AAA has not condemned or sanctioned any other nation.
This is also part of a larger movement in the US and Canada, where Jewish students feel increasingly unsafe on campus based on so-called "Anti-Israel" policies, such as programs which deny "Zionists" from access to sexual survivor services, or require anti-Israel pledges of food venders.

Yesterday the #NYC Council voted to make April 29th #EndJewHatred Day.
Shockingly, there were No votes and Abstain votes!
The NO votes were from Shahana Hanif and Sandy Nurse.
The Abstain votes were from Alexa Aviles, Charles Barron, Jennifer Gutierrez, and Rita Joseph.
I hope that the voters of New York find better representatives for their districts that will openly stand up to bigotry and hate.
