So, there's a new lazy feature!

The modulation node let's you change key/scale live via a button combo, giving you four options: Voice-Led (smoothest note movement), Pivot (up a fifth), Lift (up a whole tone), Modal Shift (same root, different mode). The landing chord is chosen by the algorithm so it works in a musical context. And then you're free to play in the new key.

And here's "drone mode"! This is super nice for creating ambient sounds - one chords will slowly transition all notes into those of the next chord. Clashing notes will be automatically handled. It's best to listen for yourself

You can use keyboard, mouse or a gamepad to control it. The chord nodes are automatically arranged to match the harmonic structure of the selected scale. You only need to remember one set of combos and you can play in any scale instantly. Smooth voice leading does the rest. It is called lazy for a reason.

I’ve been playing and really enjoying this new release Resilience by Daniel M Karlsson ( @t36s) on @EVEL a lot over the last day or so.

It's a swooping, swirling, swooning 91 minute continuous piece of utterly sublime computer music, full of sweeping drama and intense emotional resonance. Very highly recommended!

A live drone/noise set from 2017 in which I cycled round a table, adjusting various continuous sound making processes in turn. As such the physical assemblage of the system is also the score which determines the output. Layers of out-of-phase loops from analogue, digital and virtual sound sources:
Looping field recording dubplates, walkman with synth drones, analogue synthesizer, laptop running TidalCycles live coding program, analogue modelling digital drum synth triggered by rotating stones (plus various guitar effects pedals).
