While I like the company of #dogs ON OCCASION the reality of owning 2 dogs at different points in time made me realize that I am NOT suited to be a dog owner in personality or lifestyle.
The BEST compromise that I ever achieved was to be a volunteer #DogWalker at the #MarinHumaneSociety where I could drop in & pick any dog that I needed a walk for an hr or so of its company.
Don't live near Marin anymore & the animal shelters where I live now are not as good as that one, so I haven't walked any dogs since then.
Even fostering a dog for more than a couple of days would be too much for me. 🤷🏻♂️
Perhaps I should hire myself out as a dog walker or sitter in my area instead. 🤔

Ein #Dogwalker kommt mit 9 #dogsofmastodon des Weges, für uns nichts ungewöhnliches, das Dorf bekommt große Augen, er möchte auch gesehen werden. Als er sich unserem Tisch nähert und T2 mit T4 der nächstgelegene Berührpunkt wird, steht T2 auf und geht ihm etwas entgegen. Begleitet ihn an unseren Tisch vorbei, unsere #Hunde erkennen meine Körpersprache und fühlen sich sicher - keiner bellt. Dogwalker dachte T2 würde ihn bewundern - musste ihn enttäuschen, es ging um die Fürsorge der #fedidogs!
