Dinner at Discovery Park! Beavers have moved into one of the ponds. We’ve spotted their dam before, but this is the first time we’ve seen the beaver itself. Grateful for the urban wildlife we share space with here in Seattle. #DiscoveryPark #Seattle #explore #naturelovers #urbanwildlife #beavers

I saw a Mountain Beaver in a Seattle city park! They’re not true beavers, more related to squirrels. They burrow around and chew the roots of trees. Very very cute!

Going to miss the official Disconolia laps until Springtime. This ride sure was a blast though

Again listen to the legislation that Henry Jackson, UWs International school namesake, peddled in Congress:
- Nukes for Israel
- Build a military missile base in Discovery Park instead of a park
- Strongly refuse to return land to native Americans
- Ok with leasing a slice of land to natives for a priceThis, all at UW, a college definitely voted most likeliest to start all events with a land acknowledgement.

My partner demanded pregnancy pictures, so we went to touch sand this week. Definitely feels like the calm before the storm.

#FolsomDam is increasing water releases up to 8,000 CFS. If the rain continues through Saturday (12/31) could potentially release up to 20,000 CFS.
#Flooding is forecast for areas around Cosumnes River at Michigan Bar (East of Rancho Murrieta), Wilton, Cosumnes River at McConnell (South Elk Grove), and Mokelumne River at Benson’s Ferry (East of Walnut Grove).
The #Sacramento River at I Street will also reach 22 ft, not a flood, but will result in the closure of #DiscoveryPark to the public.
