Researchers confirmed it through measurements, CT scans, and #DNA, and found its scruffy look likely mimics floating #algae for #camouflage.

Le plumage cryptique est pour moi un vrai défi 🎨😅 ! Il est très difficile de distinguer la forme et les motifs des plumes avec toutes ces alternances de couleurs 🪶.
C’est un véritable défi artistique ! Pourtant, ça ne m’empêche pas d’adorer les oiseaux avec ce type de plumage — lagopèdes, rapaces nocturnes, limicoles… ce sont de vrais rois du camouflage 👑🌿
