  1. Just finished first season of Department Q on Netflix. A bit too much gore in the last couple of episodes, even for a procedural, but I really liked the characters and the humor. Has the feeling of finishing a great book that is setting up a series you know you're going to read all of.

  2. Late to the party, I know. Read less than 2024, but it's not that bad. After stumbling on the first season of the Netflix series #DepartmentQ I've decided to read the books. That's most of what I've read this year. Still missing the tenth and last book of the series.

Interestingly enough, of these 15 books only one I physically own. The other 14 are #epub read on my phone, which I find quite convenient, thanks also to the #librera app from #FDroid.

  3. Ten best TV/streaming drama series first seen in 2025

There are/were some absolutely stellar dramatic television and streaming series that either premiered or were first seen in 2025. Apple and Netflix dominate the list with eight of the Top 10.

As residents of “The Land of Enchantment” it is especially fun to see places we know in New Mexico on both Dark Winds and Plur1bus. With these two show being so well done, they generate a lot of pride, as well.

Kudos to all the shows listed and those associated with them.

    Peace!

  4. Die Woche hatte es in sich. Neben viel Arbeit

  6. Started watching #departmentQ last night, and, to the extent that this kind of hyperbole is ever accurate about fictional TV characters I've known for less than two hours, I would die for Akram Salim.

  8. Jussi Adler-Olsen

The Department Q Series set in Denmark
    by Jussi Adler-Olsen contains funny
    and violent life with extraordinary
    characters and an interestingly
    populated detective bureau.

Fans of Jussi Adler-Olsen will be happy to hear of the last and latest
    in the Department Q series.

"Locked In" brings all of the
    Department Q characters into
an escapade to free Carl from
the joint. That is detectives, friends,
    various and multiple family ties,
    rescuees and other players.

"Locked In" is a relatively happy
    ending for beloved characters and
    horrific torture, death, and slaughter
    for others--as is quite expected
    in Department Q novels.
