Very worthwhile day at #OpenDataManchester's "Free Range Liverpool" event on Saturday (based on Joy Diversion). https://www.tickettailor.com/events/opendatamanchestercic/1746604
This, together with Ignite Liverpool, was held in conjunction with the Liverpool Make Fest (#Daleks, #Davros).
Turnout was low, only 3 of us showed up, of 13 tickets. I'd planned to go with the flow, but in the circumstances did something slightly more personal, which gave a rewarding exploration as team raccoon.

My legs are getting very weak and jelly like.
Gonna be walking stick time soon.
Or classic era Davros chair.
The latter i'd take to like a (oh no) duck to water.
Zooming up to people angrily in Farmfoods as my trembling hand pointed at them and i shout feverishly "I name you forever..YOU are the destroyer of worlds"..."anyway do you know where the tattie scones are?"

People need to understand.
What's happening in the USA is not a random russian clown accidentally destroying the country.It's a pre-planned revolution by the billionaire oligarchs.
They know #climate catastrophe is hitting hard.Their plan is not to share some of their Ill gotten wealth to help everyone survive.
Every year they go to #davros and plan how to kill off at least 1/3rd of us. They no longer need uncounted millions to run their factories or fight in their wars.
This is why #Democrats write a "strongly worded letter" while agent #Krasnov is destroying #US and why billionaires are complicit and pit us against each other.

@Timo_Micro To be flippant about a very serious subject (as I too frequently am), telling people that they can't be a megalomaniac bent on domination of the universe, and that they will have to be a loveable Forrest Gump or something instead, is silly and insulting.
If you want to balance the good/evil books, do it with more representation, not less.

I mean, I see where he is going with this, but I never thought of a person in a wheel chair evil. Also I just assumed he was in it cause whatever mad scientist thing he did to make them resulted him needing a device to keep him alive. But, I'm willing to let this one play out just cause I wanna see IF they even address this change or just move on like nothing happened...

I will confess I never considered #Davros in ablest terms, and I'm still not sure I agree with the interpretation -- but if RTD deems a mid-70s #DoctorWho character design to be not 2023 cuppa, I am fine with that.

"There’s a problem with the old Davros: he’s a wheelchair user who is evil. I had problems with that. A lot of us on the production team did too, associating disability with evil... So we made the choice to bring back Davros without the facial scarring and without the wheelchair."
Um, has it occurred to RTD that Every Single Dalek is also "a wheelchair user who is evil"?
