J'ai décidé, après une looooooongue hésitation : mon abonnement #CleanMyMacX arrive à son terme. Je ne renouvelle pas l'abonnement et j'ai désinstallé ce logiciel.
Il est bien, mais finalement, il ne sert quasiment à rien pour moi qui fait plutôt attention à ce que je fais sur mon mac.
AppCleaner fera parfaitement l'affaire sur l'aspect désinstallation, le truc qui m'intéresse le plus finalement.

I noticed #CleanmyMacx is on a publicity tour on all the #Mac enthusiast websites. The consensus so far, its crapware that actually makes the performance of your #computer worse. With the high volume of Mac users out there, many companies see the opportunity to market these junkware utilities like they did on #Windows decades ago.

One nice thing about switching from #pyenv and #pyenvvirtualenv to #uv is that #CleanMyMacX used to throw away my pyenv virtual envs. They lived in a cache directory. That doesn’t happen any more.

I've been having issues with #Xcode updating on my M1 Mac for the last three days, it never finishes updating even though the #AppStore says it's finished. I had to run #CleanMyMacX to get it to start the update from where it was stuck before. Now happily updating the final few parts..

So #cleanmymacx removed Russian localization, I presume becuase of the war. But what about Russian people who don't live in Russia or don't support the war? Do we just assume that they speak English or some other language that is localized and are they then forced to use that? #macOS #software #russia

Jeżeli mogę używam aplikacji domyślnych, czyli od Apple. Jedynym wyjątkiem jest menedżer haseł, bo jako główny służy mi 1Password.

Arc Browser na razie jest dostępny tylko na MacOS, ale w styczniu ma pojawić się wersja na Windows.
