    Drei Gründe, die nach meinem dreiwöchigem Test mit #Thunderbird dazu geführt haben, dass ich wieder zu #AppleMail zurückgewechselt bin:

    1/3: E-Mail Threads werden nicht über mehrere Ordner hinweg dargestellt und sind somit unvollständig. Es fehlen beispielsweise die gesendeten E-Mails im Thread zu einem Betreff. Apple Mail kann und macht das perfekt.

    Suppose I’m sticking with #AppleMail for the time being. I already knew that creating a rule on mail doesn’t trigger for mail that’s already arrived BUT I’ve learned that if I make a rule retroactively and then use this “apply rules” feature (which I looked for the first time round but didn’t find for some reason), then I can force it to fire and that seems to work.

    When I attach a document to a mail message, I always want to display it as an icon, no matter the number of pages. Always. Always, without question. Always.

    Either do the right thing by always displaying each attached file as an icon — or give me a setting to control it.

    Wie kriege ich #AppleMail auf #macOS dazu, die richtigen Server-Settings für einen Email-Account zu akzeptieren und nicht die ganze Zeit zu sagen "Unable to verify account name or password."?

    Auf iOS funktioniert es und mit Thunderbird auch.

    #Apple Tech question for the #fediverse - I use Apple Mail on my mac, and have all my accounts (of which there are plenty) sent to delete mail NOT archive. However, I notice on my Gmail account it still has 1000's of messages in Archive, including new mail that comes in and mail I have recently deleted. Is this a Gmail thing or an Apple Mail thing? If the later, how do I fix in Mail, if the later, where do I stop this behavior if not in Apple Mail? #gmail #appleMail
