Seit dem Update auf #iOS/#iPadOS 18.2 hatte ich Probleme mit #AppleMail, dass E-Mails nicht mehr korrekt abgerufen werden konnten. Nach einigem Rumprobieren stellte sich nun heraus, dass es wohl an Kombination aus #PiHole und #Apple #PrivateRelay lag. Wer ähnliche Probleme haben sollte, kann mal folgendes ausprobieren:

Apple mail on iOS and iPadOS has an “All Junk” mailbox now! I’m not sure whether it was included with 18.0 or with 18.0.1, but it’s here 😀.

There doesn’t seem to be a special setting, like for the, e.g. the “Archive Mailbox” for GMail to specify which mailbox is the “Junk” one, but it could be available only on certain accounts.

just configured BIMI for my domain names.
Self-asserted BIMI is just a matter of creating a logo and adding a BIMI record to your zone (assuming that you already have a fully functional SPF/DKIM/DMARC configuration).
Note that Gmail and Apple Mail in addition require an (expensive) Verified Mark Certificate (VMC), i.e. certified BIMI, before they will display your logo in their mail clients.

I wrote a non-portable #RubyLang script to mangle #Maildir++ directories created from #MacOS #AppleMail exports using mb2md.pl from #Dovevot #IMAP under the hood. Apple Mail is weird; I don't know of anything that handles it natively.

To import stuff back, it needs to be in #mbox format. The separate *.mbox directories containing table_of_contents files may or may not be needed by Mail.

Alternatives to appending all the maildir files back into an mbox with the #formail utility for re-import?

Updating my #MailApp single key press mail processing system.

Backspace = delete (normal)
Backslash = archive
Delete Key = flag & archive

No modifiers. All clustered. Super fast mail processing in #AppleMail

(configured in Karabiner with Goku, but you can do this in various key remapping utilities for #macOS )
