Bought tickets to the Punch Brothers with Chris Thile… in #Amsterdam on January 21st next year…
If you’d ask me if I like bluegrass I might say ‘no’ but quality in musicians surpasses genres I guess, and I do like folk in general
Crazy wait time but it’s something to look forward to in the dead of winter… ❄️

Got to see Chris Thile in Minneapolis tonight. What an amazing show by a truly great talent. Plus, he honored Minneapolis in the best way... With a big old hug and the kindest words from our friends in other cities.
He asked the audience what he should finish the night with, and someone recommended Hard Times. He nodded and agreed that there wasn't a better choice. Enjoy!

Still can’t stop thinking of the Chris Thile concert in Toronto last week. Didn’t get many photos and this was one of them. He is my favourite mandolinist in the world and I think he’s pretty much accepted by everyone that he’s the best mandolin player on the planet. ❤️ #ChrisThile
Hurrah!
I am a fan of #ChrisThile ‘s last album of #Bach on solo mandolin, and I am excited for this album coming out in November.

Tonight: a special night at the legendary Carnegie Hall with the voice to end all voices Cecile McLorin Salvant. Man, she is just something else! Tonight backed by her normal trio, the orchestra The Knights, plus special guest for a few songs, Chris Thile. Many chills moments. A cool night in NYC.

This is rather a narrow request, but did anyone see the "jilted girlfriend meme" image where #BillyStrings is the hot new girl, #ChrisThile is the dude, and #MichaelDaves is the old girlfriend?
I saw and couldn't stop laughing and now of course I can't find it.

I went to the Kennedy Center last night to see Chris Thile and the National Symphony.
Nice program. Some Dvořák, Bach, Ellington, Punch Brothers, Pete Seegar, Beethoven , Caroline Shaw, and an extended piece of his called Attention!.
Attention! was sort of the story of Nickel Creek’s big break getting their cd’s in Starbucks ( remember back when they sold cd’s ). Also his meeting Carrie Fisher.
Nice evening. The sunset with Rosslyn VA from the Kennedy Center terrace was nice too.

#ChrisThile recently teamed up with #BillyStrings for some shows in NYC. They appeared on CBS Saturday Morning together and sounded great doing bluegrass-style duo material.
Sunday morning kick off with Billy Strings and Chris Thile playing a favorite tune.

So, recently came across a pic of the first time I saw Nickel Creek in Telluride, 1993, lol. #bluegrass #nickelcreek #christhile #sarawatkins
@flexghost Here is folk/Americana singer #SarahJarosz doing a cover of #BillieEilish 's "bad guy" on #ChrisThile 's "Live From Here" show (which unfortunately went away during Covid and never came back). Not her usual thing but she's very versatile and had fun with it.
Nickel Creek live at Beak and Skiff Apple Farm was one of the best live concerts I’ve ever witnessed. Well done to everyone involved.
