From 2019, his last few months. It was bitterly cold that day. Dammit, I miss him terribly.
"Micky's kind of weather... he's been outside 45 minutes, so I came out to be with him, 20 minutes ago. Because he is my dog."

Today, the wind is shaking/rattling the gate really hard.
"On alert. Duty calls. I must survey and protect. I have your back my pack" ❤
One tiny half bark - that'll do LOLI. Love. My. Bella.

Our family still loudly exclaim “it's YOU?!” whenever someone appear in a super-obvious disguise. What a perfect TV moment 🥰
The rest is excellent too, in typical Aardman-style. It’s great like Pixar is great, only British; which in this case is a big plus.
and the chase at the end…

One year ago Hubs and I were celebrating bushwalking with Cully at 12.
Now we celebrate every day the fact that he's 13 and still up for adventures - even though he's spending more time sleeping (and shedding!!) than ever. He's 91 in human years and earned it.
Palliative pets can have a great quality of life. Ask Cully.

Peter is getting us a takeaway dinner from Sailor Food Truck, while Cully and I sit in the warm car. Now all I want is an emotional support peacock 🦚 and to have my ankles back!
Just my average international travel jetlag response 😁

Out on our walk this morning we encountered a hen with highly fluffed feathers and a determination not to move from her spot.
Cully gently walked up to sniff her
She exploded up into his face clucking madly.
Several chicks exploded out from under her, peeping like crazy.
Cully was confused, but put his paws carefully as he walked away so he didn't step on any chicks.
Mum ushers brood away, giving Cully the hairy eyeball.

Happy #WoofWednesday to the Matinee Idol dog of our dreams Cully!!!
Today is Cully's 13th birthday - and we didn't plan on seeing him live this long due to kidney disease. However, life - like the impossibly handsome Malamute X Shepherd dog himself - keeps surprising us. We are thrilled and delighted to share Cully's birthday with you, and are grateful for all the love and support you show him.
We became a pack when Cully was only 8 weeks old, and I kept his original little blue leather collar for a long time. Fun Cully trivia: I put the collar on him before putting him in the travel crate when we brought him home, and to this day he hated being a naked dog. Cully will put his head back into the collar if it slips off. He's more than simply a pair of melting sherry-coloured eyes. Cully had fashion standards!
Yes, his collars remain blue. We use embroidered collars with his name and phone number to help keep him safe - even though he never runs off. Good boy Cully!!
Happy birthday to our most gorgeous boy, and we hope your day is as chilled and love-filled as Cully's.

A slightly goofy #WoofWednesday picture of Cully this week, as he reminds us that imperfection is ok.
Not everything in life goes to plan, and sometimes it's better to embrace reality, rather than be obsessed with redoing and redoing until you reach 'perfect'.
Cully is comfortable with inner beauty and shine. Be like Cully - work with the goofiness and rough edges when they happen!

Thirsty for knowledge on a Thursday?
Remember to be in the moment. Overthinking things is stressful and often counterproductive, so take some time out for yourself today.
Go for a walk, spend time with your pet, connect with good friends, cuddle your pet, have an orgasm, stop and breathe - or simply take time to admire a picture of a Malamute X Shepherd dog with a spectacular Tasmanian landscape behind him.
Trust me, it's worth it!
I'm here if you want help and ideas for successful destressing and anxiety reduction.

Happy #WoofWednesday!
I took this picture a year ago today. Since then Cully continues to find joy in simple moments, and I continue to find him more handsome, more loveable and more wondrous.
Have a good day everyone, and treat yourself! Bask in Cully's matinee idol good looks for as long as you want - it's almost Christmas. 😉

A look back to Cully in his first Tasmanian snow last September - this is one of my most cherished photos. It makes me smile.

#introdogtion This is Cully, a 12 and 3/4 year old Malamute X Shepherd dog with sherry-coloured eye and impossibly soft fur. Highly intelligent, he cruises through life on his matinee idol good looks. Loving all the whiffs and sniffs in our home in the Meander Valley, Pallitorre Country in northern lutruwita Tasmania.
