  5. I finally took the time to finish #atelier Yumia—sad ending, but cute. I would like to see future instalments going in that direction. I loved how kawaii Isla is! She is a great sidekick! 🩵✨

Now, back to the #ryza world with Atelier Ryza 2 🪄

  6. Just finished Atelier Yumia. To put it shortly, I don't like it very much. Maybe my most disliked Atelier game since Firis, although for completely different reasons.

The alchemy system is bad. They are kind of continuing in the direction of making it so that the recipes are so free-form, that they are barely recipes. Late game, you can pretty much just slap your highest quality ingredients blindly into any slot and you'll end up with maxed items (ignoring equipment.)

Furthermore, they decided to introduce leveling recipes in order to unlock more effects (rather than using ingredients wisely.) The materials required come from unmarked spots in the environment. You occasionally have a blue path revealed that will lead you to these spots. I'm not sure why they put this extra step in, it doesn't really add anything. It's just kind of annoying?

On the plus side, the game on normal is pretty trivial. You probably don't really need to do that much alchemy in order to beat the game.

I will say, the exploration part of it was pretty good, at least. And at least the PC port felt somewhat competent as far as the Atelier series goes.

  12. Earlier in October, I painted Ayesha meeting a fairy. It seems she’s lost, so she asks a fairy to help guide her along the way.

This is possibly one of my favorite artworks I created this year. I hope I can create more like it eventually!

  16. "Hello, let’s have teatime with Nelke."

This is an illustration of Nelke from a game called "Nelke & the Legendary Alchemists." It took me a long time to conceive, let alone start on it. I finally worked on it and finished it shortly after I moved into my new apartment.

This illustration was a token of appreciation for my friend Miri. As a longtime friend, she has been incredibly supportive and endlessly kind and patient to me. Thank you!!

  20. I've been playing the new Atelier gacha game for the past couple of days.

My first impression is that it has pretty high production values for a gacha game. It almost feels higher budget than a normal atelier game 😆 . Of course, this is skipping making full towns and dungeons... and movement, so they can spend the effort on other things.

I think it's supposed to be fully voiced. There were like 3 lines so far in the story that weren't, but that felt more like a mistake than intention. Even though I'm the type that will skip dialogue when I finish reading a line, I do appreciate hearing at least some of the lines. FV is still pretty rare for gacha games.

The game overall feels like a gacha game with Atelier trappings in it rather than an Atelier game with gacha elements. There is an alchemy system, but it's pretty simple. Traits are mostly tied to the character performing the alchemy and there doesn't really seem to be synthesis chains like previous games.

Interestingly, stamina is not used for story progression. It's used mostly for material gathering (leveling mats, mats for synthesis, etc.) There is a separate stamina for alchemy.

So far, it seems like an average gacha game with good production values, so I'll hang around for a while.

  25. Huh, that new mobile Atelier game is getting an English release. I really wasn't expecting that.

I've heard the game is actually kind of decent, although very stingy. I'll probably give it a try. I've played pretty much every other recently Atelier game anyway.

  28. A few weeks ago, I completed this illustration as my contribution for Faraway Asterism's Atelier Series themed postcard project called "Timeless Travelogue."

The setting of this illustration was inspired by a local park. I decided to include two sisters named Ayesha and Nio from the GUST videogame called "Atelier Ayesha."

And, in the foreground, there are small round blue creatures with pointy ears called slags. I think they're really cute!

Le daré un poco de margen para ponerme con el tercero.

  30. Started playing the PC port of #AtelierRyza3 today. So far, it seems like it's a competent port. At 4K resolution with everything set to high (with the exception of DOF), I'm hitting about 80fps outdoors on my 6900XT.

For gamepad control configuration, you can tell the game which button is at which position on the controller. What you cannot seem to do is change what the buttons actually do. I find that very odd.

There are tons of graphical options in the menu. I didn't really play with them, though, since everything was at max and running fine.

The depth of field, which is on by default, is really weird. I think they may have messed something up since it's super aggressive. I ended up turning it off.

  31. This is my entry for the official Atelier Series 25th anniversary fanart contest.

I thought I wouldn't make anything as I was moving and had other priorities. However, the evening before the submissions window was closed, I suddenly felt that I'd regret it if I didn't try at all. And with that, here's the result!

Since I drew this just hours before it was due, I simply drew a simple illustration of my favorite alchemist, Ayesha Altugle.

  32. I haven’t drawn Ayesha for a long time so I decided to draw her in winter wear. It was fun drawing her again. (*'▽'*)

  33. Hello, here is a simple fanart I drew back in February this year.

This is a portrait of Sophie from “Atelier Sophie 2." I drew it almost right after it was released if I recall correctly...

Anyways, I still think she has such a cute design! I would like to resume playing the game eventually... ideally after I go through my atelier game backlog.

  34. I quickly drew this back in October 2020. It was for my month-long challenge of producing and submitting a new artwork every day.

This fanart of mine features the character Ayesha Altugle from GUST's videogame "Atelier Ayesha." I dressed her in comfortable autumn-themed clothing to commemorate the season I usually enjoy.

  35. Hello, I'm Kari Avalon. ( ´ ▽ ` )
I figured that I should update my introduction since it has been a while.

I'm a hobby illustrator that enjoys drawing dreamy and ephemeral things. On rare occasions, I dabble in graphic design and other mediums. I hope I can revisit and work on my other projects again soon.

Anyways, it's nice to meet you all! If we're already familiar with each other, then it's good to see you again!

  37. Hi!
I'm Jude / :lapis: Either is fine.
I've published fiction (and am still trying to) under the name Rae A. Shell, but I will probably get confused if you call me that lol.

    I live in Nebraska.
    According to
    native-land.ca/
    I live on unsurrendered
    Očhéthi Šakówiŋ
    and
    Pâri (Pawnee) land.

Currently unemployed, but hey, if you know of some ArcGIS or XML work where I live @ me.

If you are considering College / University in Nebraska: DM me so I can give you some details you won't get on tours.

I got my BA in Anthropology and came to the conclusion Anthropology is a colonialist pile of shit (You could totally decolonize Anthropology, but my classes never talked about that. It was just the white cishet allosexual abled patriarchy in the classes I took)

    Fan of
#Earthbound or #Suikoden a lot of #AtelierSeries and #StoryOfSeasons games, not to mention #RuneFactory! Big :stardewvalley: fan too. #HadesGame is one of my special interests. I'm a big fan of #TWEWY / #NEOTWEWY but we know that will never get a sequel :blobsob:

Very much looking forward to #EiyudenChronicle so when rising (or the main game) comes out I probably won't shut up about it! That's what timed mutes are for lol.

I like getting sad listening to PS2 music :blobcheeky: If you see me mutter about Hymmnos / Ar Tonelico or Shadow Hearts, you know why!

    I also like #Crochet #Fiberarts and I'm getting into #Knitting and #CrossStitch lately! I like reading #Books and #Webcomics

    (especially #YoungAdult )

I'm a big #Podcast fan, but I usually talk about that elsewhere!

    Me defiendo bastante bien.

I have like 4-5 fediverse accounts, but lately don't have the energy for all of them, so I'm mainly on here, #BookWyrm, and Booktoot.

I Boost a lot of pictures of Cats (and sometimes dogs) so if you don't like that, either turn off my ability to boost or mute those keywords.

I'm really shy so please interact (by posting/replying) before following!
