I noticed that my #Alesis #Microverb4 effect processor was becoming quite noisy. I already changed some capacitors a few years ago, but today I proceeded to a complete recapping. The results are very good! The noise is once again very low and the sound quality is very good.

In the Assembly Manual under "Getting started" I find the following advice:
"watch tutorial videos".This is NOT HELPFUL at all!

Heute wende ich mich mal dem angestaubten Nanoverb zu.
Der Input Regler knackst und das Netzteil fehlt.
Gern würde ich es hinter meinen Behringer Edge schalten
und mit den Effekten arbeiten. Der Regler ist gut verbaut und
man kommt leider nicht mit Kontaktspray oder Druckluft
heran. Werde mich mal weiter schlau machen wie man
den Regler wieder gängig macht. Ideen? -

It’s somewhat annoying to try repeated repairs on these boards in that, if/when the parts burn, you then have to pull quite a lot of parts off the board to measure whether they’re good or not.
Surprisingly enough, the usual culprit in switch-mode PSUs, the low ESR caps on the output side, they seem intact. No bulges, even pulled off a few to check for capacitance.
