Just once this summer I’d like to remember everything necessary to do 6m FT8 on my lunch break. This time twas grabbing the QDX instead of the QMX+, which is the one that does 6 meters 🤦🏻♂️
Did catch a good net, the weekly 2 meter Triangle Mutual Aid net, controlled by @mbroome and co-staring @llorenzin and @beckett ❤️🖤

I’ll be camping in West Virginia in EM97 this week. Going to try to work the #MagicBand with this “thrift store” ham stick dipole and a QMX+.
Is #WestVirginia rare in others’ logs? I hadn’t been able to get it in my last 1.5 years as a Technician.

This weekend was interesting on the #6m band. #6meters was very strange this morning, a pretty much fiber-optic quality path right into Florida Every contact I had was a 59+. Also had a really good time last night on #20m getting a bunch of #POTA contacts.

What's the deal with #6meters. It is really quiet. Did I miss some #spacewx event? This is my first time on the "the magic band". #hamradio #AmateurRadio

I have a question for the ham radio folks here. Does anyone have any comments or opinions about the Alinco DR-06TA? It's a 50 watt monoband 6 meter FM transceiver. I have no experience with this radio at all but I'm kind of interested in it.
Thanks

I experimented setting up for #6meters last night for the first time. No contacts made, but I did figure out that my BCA-300 Dual-Band Mag Mount Antenna tunes nicely using the Yaesu 857D and the YT-100 tuner. So maybe sometime in the not too distant future I’ll actually make a QSO. I was tuned to 52.540 as it’s one of the designated frequencies for HamActive’s #WINTERHEAT event. #6m
