@bud_t @ai6yr Plenty of experience with squiffy MFJ analyzers. The issue is usually fixed with half a can or more of DeOxit on the rotary switch. It was simply the wrong part to use, yet they stayed with it for decades.

MFJ gets far too much forgiveness for "serving a niche market". They sold shit to a captive audience, period.

My #MFJ-1788 Super Hi-Q #loop #antenna has a problem which it did not have this morning. The fast-tune buttons in the control unit work well, but the fine-tune buttons don't. When pressing the latter, the yellow lights, instead of blinking, just shine steady and dim, and no change in tuning occurs. Before I send it to be repaired, does anyone have an idea of what may be happening? Thanks!
