"There can't be an AI bubble because people really like the product" is a really dumb sentence. The housing bubble didn't pop because people stopped wanting houses. Market actors oversold product to people who couldn't afford it, then defaulted. And the derivatives built upon those sales and loans defaulted with it.
The AI industry is selling things to people at a discounted price, the true cost of which customers could never afford. It's not about if the bubble is going to pop, but when.
This is not about the usefulness or impact of AI, those are literally unrelated to the issue. It's a financial problem.

There's an interesting thing I've noticed about myself with the onslaught of hard-to-read AI prose seemingly everywhere. I am historically a rules lawyer (in my head, not out loud) about grammar and spelling, silently judging folks for ugly or clunky prose. AI writing has softened my position on this issue. LLMs write with excellent grammar, but they have no intention, so they can't ever really get to the point. They don't want anything, so there is no point to anything they say. They are generally bad writers because of it.
My fixation when reading now is on whether there is a clear point, something the author wants me to get, not whether the grammar is nice or the spelling is good.
I think this is telling me that I, and you, shouldn't use AI even to edit and definitely not to write. I suspect it makes your writing worse even while making it more grammatically defensible to an English teacher.

Is there an open source log monitoring system that tells me useful stuff out of the box like whether something new has cropped up in a log that hasn't been seen before, a certain message has suddenly got a lot more frequent or a regular message has stopped? With today's ML I'm surprised I haven't come across something like that. Most tools look like they require you to craft your own queries manually, or the ones which tout 'AI' are expensive & closed.
