  6. Almost finished! I just need to glue the sections together and I think I can call the hardware side of this project done and dusted!

  7. This is it, assembled. The #rgb led should blink blue in case of network error and red when a pulse is detected from the #electricity meter. I already added it to #homeassistant (with the #esphome integration), so now it's just matter of trying it with the counter. I will probably need to adjust the #photodiode sensitivity to avoid false positives.

  13. After properly reseating it into the socket (quite some force needed, used a breadboard as support), it now sits very tight. I love the clear image.
After measuring some temperatures, I added some heat sinks to the ROMs and the full bridge rectifier.
The VIC-II gets very warm (about 60°C).

  14. I got my VIC-II-dizer and #RGBtoHDMI for my #C64. It works nicely and produces a very clean #HDMI image. But since I have the C64 with the trim pot next to the VIC-II, it doesn't quite fit without additional chip socket in between. It pops out easily, so I'll have to get some precision socket and try with that.
