  1. Today, I received my #RGBtoHDMI for my #Amiga500 and the first thing I did after initial test was installing the audio board.
I had two options, #soldering it to the RGBtoHDMI, floating in the air, or at the back of the #RaspberryPiZero. I decided to try the first. Luckily there was enough clearance underneath to not touch any components. I did bend the legs of the capacitors a bit first.
The image is a lot clearer now, I'm satisfied.

  3. Wanted to build a #RGBtoHDMI (github.com/hoglet67/RGBtoHDMI) for my #C128 (80 col mode). But there is a confusing number of different boards: 12 bit, 12bit extender, TTL buffer, ... Which ones do I need?

  5. After bit of blind search I found the correct set up for #Elwro Junior 800 replica: #RGBtoHDMI with #Amstrad CPC and change od sync to V+H+

  6. Robert Smith had recently bought an Amiga 600 and wanted to add RGB2HDMI support to it. Whilst looking for software updates, he came across the beta version of RGBtoHDMI, which allows audio to be added directly via the Pi. In his latest video, he shows whether it works.

  8. Another #RGBtoHDMI for Atari ST is ready. Thanks Hoglet & IanB

  9. After properly reseating it into the socket (quite some force needed, used a breadboard as support), it now sits very tight. I love the clear image.
After measuring some temperatures, I added some heat sinks to the ROMs and the full bridge rectifier.
The VIC-II gets very warm (about 60°C).

  10. I got my VIC-II-dizer and #RGBtoHDMI for my #C64. It works nicely and produces a very clean #HDMI image. But since I have the C64 with the trim pot next to the VIC-II, it doesn't quite fit without additional chip socket in between. It pops out easily, so I'll have to get some precision socket and try with that.

  11. #RGBtoHDMI to the rescue!
The #MacPlus clone looks gorgeous on this. I am leeching the signals from these "do not fit" pads from the analog board replacement that @DosFox designed.

  13. Another update for my Amiga 500! This time it's an RGBtoHDMI board that uses a Raspberry Pi Zero to grab the video signal off the Denise chip and converts it to HDMI output. The video is SO clean!

  15. I want to build my own #RGBtoHDMI (github.com/hoglet67/RGBtoHDMI).
There's a 12bit board, there's an extender board and there are TTL buffer boards. Do I need them all to connect my #Commodore #C128 to a modern display?

  17. A quick test of my #RGBtoHDMI adapter. I captured the boot process on a #Tandy 1400LT laptop. Ready to start recording some real projects!

  21. #RGBTOHDMI #MACPLUS #vintage #apple My old soldered wires hack job to my video connector of my RGBTOHDMI device, towards the mac side finally ripped out. I repaired it with more solid dupont wire male ends, restoring my Mac Plus' video feed to its former glory, straight into a live feed on the internet if I want to.

  23. Coming soon to a JCM-1.com near you - J21 breakout adapters for the #Apple #Macintosh SE & SE/30. Finally, you just use a bench power supply and a #RGBtoHDMI or #OSSC to troubleshoot boards!

  25. The Game of Robot Junior via the #rgbtohdmi on a 286 with an EGA card. Who here remembers this game? Robot 1 was the first shareware game I played back in 1990 I think. Loved it.

  27. The #RGBtoHDMI project which came from some leading lights in the #Stardot community is technically excellent, and open source. Digital or analog RGB to HDMI, with a raspberry pi and a small CPLD board.

It happens to be very low latency too. And it works for very many retro computers: acorn, amstrad, spectrum, ibmpc, dragon, tandy, c64, appleii, amiga, and on and on...
