  1. Almost finished! I just need to glue the sections together and I think I can call the hardware side of this project done and dusted!

  2. Eugh, I’m having a really hard time visualising the #3dprinted enclosure for my seven segment clock project. Can’t quite decide how to take it to the next level. #1segrgb

  3. And just like that we have a functioning clock! currently running on a propmaker RP2040 but I will probably have to move over to something WiFi enabled before long #pcb #electronics #maker #RP2040 #RaspberryPi #jlcpcb #circuitpython @adafruit #1segrgb

  4. They said this wouldn’t work but it bloody well does! Just three more digits to solder up (161 individual LEDs!) and I’ll have a clock!

I’m so glad it does work though because I ordered two hundred of these pcbs 😂

  5. First full loop and its working great (if you can look past my shitty soldering skills). Really happy with this - can't wait to finish off the first number, but that will have to wait until tomorrow because my eyes are to tired for soldering any more of these sk2816 mini-e LEDs!

  6. New #PCB day! I’ve tested continuity and everything seems to be working as intended. Just need to make up a second board so I can test if it does what it’s supposed to!

  7. V2 of my 1-seg #PCB concept is pretty much ready with through hole pads for adding wires (thanks to @LovesTha for the suggestion), fixed some bugs (thanks to @PossiblyMax for catching) AND added a bunch more pads to open up even more usage options too! /thread #electronics #maker #rgb #1segrgb

  8. Yesterday I got a little bit hyperfocused on designing a little #electronics kit that allows you to build seven segment displays out of these individual 1-segment #pcb 's which you solder together using the castellated edges. Each strip would feature 7 reverse mount sk6812 mini-e #rgb leds (for easy soldering) and the whole thing would be daisychainable. #maker friends, please tell me all the reasons this would be a horrible idea before I waste a ton of money ordering parts and PCBs :) #1segrgb
