#Google Photos is incapable of batch downloading files to windows it seems. I've tried chrome, firefox, edge. I've turned off antivirus and done a bunch of other supposed fixes. The 400 mb download always fails around 50 mb in. Just insane for a product with this many users to fail so badly.

Really glad to see this NPR article on using war metaphors to describe illness. Writers - even seasoned medical reporters - almost reflexively use words like "battle" and "win" vs "lost" - I certainly did in my career.
But there are many good reasons to avoid this language.

I had forgotten that Paul Berg, the Nobel Prize-winning biochemist who was instrumental in developing recombinant DNA and developing the first rules for how not to misuse it, was also a board member of the Open Medicine Foundation, dedicated to curing myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome.
