Last week was a busy week for insider buying. I can’t extrapolate anything about the general market from these buys, but it’s clear that some insiders are sniffing out bargains. It would be nice to see an insider buying on good news but that’s not what it is this week. It’s more bargain basement stuff. Patience may be needed though as I doubt, we’ve seen the last of volatility. You can read about it here: https://www.theinsidersfund.com/2025/05/insider-buying-week-05-09-25-bargain-basement-week/

I repeat, every bear market since 2001 has only ended with a plethora (a favorite word of mine) of insider buying. I'm waiting, waiting, and waiting without any insider buying to speak up. There's not much selling either. Just keep in mind that bear markets, if we're in one, don't go straight down. Maybe it's just a slow motion train wreck that every earnings webcast is riddled with uncertainty and lowered earnings expectations.

#JustMyOpinion: Not only is this a list of companies dropping DEI programs, it is a list of companies you can boycott.
Source: Forbes
From the article: "Target became the latest company to nix diversity, equity and inclusion goals Friday, as a growing wave of companies pull back on their DEI commitments following President Donald Trump’s election, as Trump has already moved to eliminate federal DEI programs and slammed DEI at the World Economic Forum in Davos this week."

#JustMyOpinion - The #Queer community should look at this as an opportunity to show it's resourefulness and resolve by creating an network of online groups and webpages to provide objective #information.
Source: The Advocate
From the article: "Not even 24 hours after President Donald Trump returned to the Oval Office and issued an executive order denying the existence of transgender and nonbinary people, his administration has taken another brazen step to erase LGBTQ+ Americans. The Advocate has confirmed that references to LGBTQ+ identities and HIV-related resources have vanished overnight from WhiteHouse.gov and several federal agency websites, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Department of State, and Department of Labor, based on a report by GLAAD."

#JustMyOpinion but by meddling in the affairs of countries such as #England and #Germany #ElonMusk is engaging in #DistractionPolitics and drawing attention away from #DonaldTrump and #USPolitics. Maybe that’s the goal?

#JustMyOpinion: Restriction of drones could also limit the public's access to information.
Source: Associated Press
From the article: "Scott Shtofman, director of government affairs at the Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International, said putting more limits on drones could have a “chilling effect” on “a growing economic engine for the United States.”

Ooo - space pirates. Remember Ice Pirates in the 1980s?Firefly were more swashbuckling smugglers, but Marco Inaros (The Expanse) is absolutely a pirate in my book.

@Em0nM4stodon Yes!! Mastodon should be celebrated & will hopefully become the new norm. It blows my mind how i’ve seen posts sharing their new blue sky account. Do they not know who Jack Dorsey is? So what if all of your friends are over there? Sharing a link via text is not hard. Let them roam on blue sky to see the same nazis that they see on twitter. 🤷♂️ #justmyopinion

I miss the Washington Post's Outlook section, where a person was allowed to have a thought deeper than 750 words.

So the new tactic for washed up celebrities to get any sort of recognition and/or relevance in their lives is jump on the anti-LGBTQ and conspiracy theory gravy train and get what scraps are left of that slop fest.
What's sad is that many of these people had pro-LGBTQ or at least neutral stances in the past, though now they base their self worth on causing some sort of controversy to get attention.

I really hate #TikTok. Now, maybe it's because I never really searched for stuff I like. I have seen the odd video that I thought was smart. But my friend is really into it, and he keeps sending me these stupid joke videos that aren't funny. (I really don't enjoy conservative humour)
I'm one of those weirdos who likes #YouTube video essays. I like content that makes me think. TikTok seems to be the equivalent of gorging on candy without eating anything nutritious. #JustMyOpinion

Given the choice, I personally would not have preferred to be subject of impressment and forced into the service of the British Royal Navy during the Napoleonic Wars. Seems a bit of a tough turn #JustMyOpinion

@jerry Because search & by-chance discovery had been the lifeblood of Internet culture since the early days of Alta Vista and Yahoo!..?
Even Usenet & IRC, one might even argue...

Yes. This is, seen from Europe, perfectly right.
Poor people have no access to good treatments, hospitals, and so on.
Thanks to all the Republicans gvt , from Nixon to Trump, your Senate and the impotents Dems. And all the f*cking US companies, neolibs, NYSE and so on.
But don't worry, EU, Macron and others f*ckers hardly try to create the same mess in here 😰
