I created this cable organizer in #FreeCAD some time ago. It's a modular design of stackable boxes with variable widths.
Wrote a FreeCAD macro, which makes the process incredibly efficient to export many widths and styles to STL with a single click. Even the animation was generated using a small script to showcase the assembly.
FreeCAD is just the best!! 😎

Le pire défaut de FreeCad, c'est peut-être sa gestion des modifications des arcs de cercle.
Quand on veut changer la position d'un seul point, centre ou extrémités, systématiquement ils changent tous les autres points en même temps.Et donc, quand on veut modifier un arc de cercle relié à un autre arc de cercle, les modifs se font en cascade. C'est ingérable.

I know, I'm late for #freecadfriday but I'm currently switching back from Autodesk Fusion 360 to #FreeCAD to get rid of my Windows VM and Autodesk's cloud #enshittification stuff.
I still have to (re-)learn the workflow and tools but just finished my first two models: protective caps for the Zeiss 7x40 NVA German military binoculars. Printed with TPU. My printer somehow messed up the edges on the eyepiece protection but they work 👍

Honestly? It feels more powerful and stable. The new feature that shows hole depth visually before cutting? Game changer. Saves so much guesswork.
The photos show titanium trauma plates for orthopedics. Used for bone fixation in severe fractures.
I can't share most of the dev work until patents clear, but here's a glimpse of what's allowed.
