zum thema #digitalzwang bei der #bahn: call-a-bike müsste sich umbenennen auf track-a-bike, denn so prima per anruf ein rad buchen kann man schon lange nicht mehr und die app erzwingt ortungsdienste. #callabike @padeluun (edit: alt text)

@Photo55 @dalias last info i have is that #wikimedia currently uses #varnishcache and #ats. they did use varnish only with two layers, but understandibly replaced the persistent varnish layer with ats, because the first persistent storage engine had design issues. now that we have SLASH/fellow, varnish could do the job well again.

@ck this is not wrong, but also not the best advice either. varnishd should not be restarted to reload the vcl, use varnishadm vcl.load and vcl.use for that, or a script like https://github.com/varnishcache/pkg-varnish-cache/blob/master/systemd/varnishreload

@OpenInfra honest feedback: no matter if your conference is any good or not, to me this kind of marketing based around #fomo and #artificialscarcity is a red flag, and i would wish for people in the opensource comminity to avoid such dark patterns.

ich weiss die PIN meiner #kreditkarte nicht. aber vorhin lernte ich vom netten service berater der #haspa in der filiale, dass meine reguläre bankkarte auch eine #mastercard debitcard ist.
genial! genau für solche fälle hatte ich mich mal für eine bank mit filialen entschieden. danke haspa, danke herr berater in der filiale #Hamburg #Gertigstraße

Vor ein paar Jahren sah ich mich genötigt, der #haspa zu erklären, dass es ein absolutes Unding ist, auf einer Banking-Website #google #analytics #tracking einzusetzen. Ich konnte damals zeigen, dass google meine Bankverbindung bekam, die in einer URL stand. Das haben sie dann zumindest hinter einen consent-banner gepackt (schlimm genug, dass sie es überhaupt behalten haben).
Und heute nervt mich die HASPA mit #gamification. Leute, ich will einfach nur eine gute Bank, OK? #hamburg -
@samuel if your content is (partly, semi) static, using a caching reverse proxy can help reduce bandwidth used on your origin uplink and improve "speed" (reduce latencies, increase bandwidth) for your users. some options are #apachetrafficserver #freenginx and #varnishcache, only to name a few. my recommendation should be obvious, but you have the choice and a lot of options.
as a pure (non caching) forwarding tcp or http proxy #haproxy is a good choice. -

Our #pcre2 #regex module https://gitlab.com/uplex/varnish/libvmod-re for #varnishcache now also supports substitutions on bodies. Similar to the recently announced .match_body() method, this feature supports matches across storage segments while avoiding to make copies using PCRE2's partial match feature.

A bugfix gives me an excuse to mention that, for some time now, vmod_re https://gitlab.com/uplex/varnish/libvmod-re - our #pcre2 #regex module for #varnishcache - also supports matches against bodies.
The implementation supports matches across storage segments while avoiding to make copies using PCRE2's partial match feature.

@DerSchulze ja, hierauf war ich nicht eingegangen: über die jahre wurden die leistungen der #bahncard100 2. klasse (die ich nutze) immer weiter reduziert: abschaffung des gepäckservice, keine reservierungen mehr inklusiv und eben auch der zugang zur lounge mit der bc. dieser wurde ersetzt durch den bahnbonus status, den, wenn ich es richtig verstehe, bc100 kunden wg des hohen umsatzes eh immer haben.
das wirkt auf mich wie ein trick, um die leute indirekt auf #bahnbonus zu ziehen. -
ich bin zeit meines lebens #DB kunde und habe seit über 10 jahren eine #bahncard100. somit habe ich sicherlich gute 50.000€ bei der #bahn gelassen. lt hotline auskunft habe ich einen gold status.
nach jahren wollte ich nun zum ersten mal wieder in die db lounge, wo man mich nicht einließ, denn ich bräuchte wohl eine #bahnbonus app. ich möchte aber keine mich trackende app nutzen, um eine bezahlte dienstleistung in anspruch zu nehmen. #Digitalzwang @digitalcourage @PRO_BAHN -

zu verschenken: defekter #sphero v1 mit netzteil und ladestation.
defekt: eigentlich soll er durch schütteln in betriebsmodus wechseln, das tut er aber auch nach einer nacht auf der ladestation nicht mehr.
ausserdem: es gibt offenbar keine app mehr, die ihn supportet.

- alle apis frei zugänglich
- kein tracking
- kein 3rd party content
- anonyme buchung und zahlung
- alle services auch mit analog-äquivalentem nachweis (zB QR code gedruckt)
