With the extraordinary help of @alexeystar in Serbia and @kf in Estonia, I have managed to find about 300 female connectors in total for the #BurgerDisk / #DominoDisk. These devices are very international, with the PCB from China, male connectors from USA, and female connectors from *checks notes* Serbia, Estonia, Hungary, Lithunia, North Macedonia and Germany.
This should be more than enough so that everyone with an Apple II and a need for a daisy-chainable hard drive can have one! -

I'm Alexey Staroselets, Belgrade-based graphic designer and type stalker. Years of chasing letters on walls led me to creation of Belgrade Type (https://bgtype.alexeystar.com/). Here I will be sharing my new finds and occasional thoughts. Always up for type gossip, tips, and collabs!

As a designer and amateur web developer, I've been using SourceHut for years and I find it perfect for managing my silly projects. I like it much more than GitHub for its strong ethics towards privacy and sustainability.

Want to feel what it's like when Apple keeps you from your own data? Try exporting all your Apple Notes or Voice Recordings so they're accessible on a non-Apple device - without using third-party tools and services. Good luck not swearing too much.

Is there a service that can analyze people's RSS reading feeds and visualize the connections between them?

After using Facebook for over - what, 20 years? - my profile has finally been deleted. It was fun until it wasn't. Results: more new social connections, with less stress and anxiety. Not having to be a donor of data to Meta is also a huge relief.

I wanted to leave Facebook for years, but the fear of losing memories and connections was holding me back for too long. So yesterday I triple-checked my offloaded data for contacts, photos and conversations, and then moved through numerous confirmations from the #silo — are you sure? do you really want to do this? etc (as if my own doubts were not stressful enough :blobmelt:). Finally, I hit the button and got my account set up for deletion. Feeling relived and proud of myself.
