I told a contact living in Finland via direct message that I was trying to buy a gift for my brother living in that country and there seemed no easy way to do that from Canada. This great girl found a store selling the product in the town my brother lives in, sent me the address and url of the store, the manager's name and email address and even gave advice on how to word my email to avoid my contact email going into their spam.
I know she is a very busy person with a lot of cares and responsibilities in her personal life, so her time is precious. She nonetheless told me to tell her if I had any trouble, saying she would phone the store for me and talk to them in Finnish! I won't mention her here so she doesn't get inundated with help requests. But she knows who she is.

We went on a great bike ride with friends yesterday. The whole thing was about 47 km (~29 miles) but took most of the day as we were out to enjoy ourselves and mostly had the power off.
There are some great biking routes in the #AnnapolisValley and some of this was on the #RailsToTrails from Greenwich to #GrandPre though #Wolfvile

Have any cyclists heard of or used the Spongywonder bike saddles? I've read conflicting reviews, and I don't know if they are genuine or just marketing hype. Some say they're the best thing to ease pain and possible health issues, while others say they make negotiating turns difficult as the nose on a saddle is used in steering. It's getting kind of hard to stay positive reading so much negativity, even about what could be positive.

The province is a tinder box. So there will be no walking or biking on the trails we have been planning to go on, at least until October.
And no cool place to walk Joni through our woods either. But I get it.. It's scary, honestly.
"The Nova Scotia government has announced it's banning hiking, camping, fishing and use of vehicles such as ATVs in the woods as of 4 p.m. Tuesday due to an elevated wildfire risk.
Camping in campgrounds is still permitted, but trail systems through woods are off-limits under the new rules.
The rules are in place for provincial Crown and private land until Oct. 15 or until weather conditions allow them to be lifted.
