The Scarecrows of Necum Teuch.
Once, it was a tourist 'must see ', an historic home, turned into a museum. The Scarecrows were all around the acreage, a moose by the big, and dozens of scarecrow people to greet the visitors.
Tourist guides, the Eastern Shore webpage, and children's books, still carry the stories.
Parking was across the highway, a loop, with a look off, out Necum Teuch Bay.

This is the closest drive to find a cell signal so I could call Eastlink and tell them the service was down again.

But it's a scenic wait, in eastern #Halifax.

Nova Scotia only has River Otters. Sea Otters are native to the West Coast. However, NS Otters swim out into harbours from rivers, hunting food. I see them after sunrise in the summer.

Carnivores that eat mostly fish, clams, mussels, frogs, muskrats, young birds, eggs, insects & even turtles. And they mess up the shoreline..

Another beautiful drive down the #EasternShore of #Halifax. The sky had all these amazing patterns and colours all day. #Ocean

Meanwhile, further inland, Middle #Musquodoboit to Goffs is white, and mostly ice. Doesn't look like it, but it's stuck there, try your brakes? RWD in a tiny pickup, it was a slippery drive #HfxTraffic #WX Not a flurry on the #7 to #NecumTeuch, but hwy 212 from the Airport is a big white surprise. Drive safe.

Necum Teuch Harbour. You find a lot of repeat names in the world, even in Nova Scotia. a few "Lawrencetown", we have a Halifax in England, a Yarmouth in Maine, but you'll only find one #NecumTeuch name in the world.

Same for Ecum Secum. Someone had the right Naming Convention?
