#Transport for #London has published a consultation report on proposals for the #Superloop express bus network, including a new route SL14 between Stratford bus station and Chingford Hatch, and changes to route D8 in Stratford. The public consultation, held from 25 September to 5 November 2025, received 856 responses. Route SL14 was broadly supported for faster, more frequent journeys and reduced crowding on route 158, though concerns were raised about congestion and frequency reductions. Feedback on D8 changes was mixed. #TfL plans to introduce SL14 and D8 adjustments in 2027, with minor stop changes at Waltham Park Way and Blackhorse Road.

#Transport for #London has reminded customers that Tube and rail #fares will rise from 1 March 2026, in line with the Government’s funding settlement, while bus and tram fares will remain frozen until 5 July 2026 as a cost-of-living measure. Travelcards and daily and weekly caps are frozen until March 2027. No single pay as you go Tube fare in Zones 1–6 will increase by more than 20p. Elizabeth line fares from Zone 1 to #Heathrow will rise to £15.50 for a single journey, though caps protect regular travellers.
Free travel on routes SL4, 108 and 129, introduced with the new Silvertown Tunnel, has been extended until 26 May 2026, alongside free cycle shuttle services and DLR cross-river refunds. The Mayor, Sadiq Khan, said the freeze supports lower-income Londoners.

A passenger who suffered a cardiac arrest on a train has been reunited with the rail staff who helped save his life. Ian Drewry, 69, collapsed while travelling from #Swindon to #London #Paddington on 14 September last year as the service approached #Reading. A fellow passenger raised the alarm and a doctor on board began CPR while another called 999. Train Manager Veronika Rogers alerted the driver and control teams to ensure the train was held at Reading, where staff including dispatchers Jack McIntyre and Michael Lamb brought a defibrillator and cleared the platform. Emergency services took over and Mr Drewry was later taken to hospital, where he recovered. He returned to Reading to thank rail workers, Network Rail and ambulance crews for their swift response.
