  1. 80's here again. How about something you don't remember owning and have absolutely zero idea of what the band genre and sound is? Could be interesting...

    The Nails
    Mood Swing
    RCA Canada, 1984

Flip time judgement: definitely 80's new wave but not bad actually. Quite surprised how many tunes I remember.

Fun fact: Eric Boucher their roadie had a later career as Jello Biafra of The Dead Kennedys.
    🤘

  2. 80's calling, play me something angry and gritty! No, not those guys and their bell, there are other Aussie bands you know.

    Midnight Oil
    Red Sails in the Sunset

    CBS Records Canada, 1985

  3. @gulovsen 👍 it took me too long to learn this.

Your own skin is a much better fit than anyone else's.

It also reduces the chance of being arrested 😄

  5. June Bug insanity around the trees last night. They were everywhere, bouncing off of me as I took pictures (or tried anyway)

  9. Did you know you can see the text of the toot you are replying to by hitting the down arrow beside the name of the author?

    I didn't! 😲

Unfortunately (at least to me) the text is non-selectable as it would be a nice way to copy hashtags from one toot to another for continuity. There's more than likely a good reason, possibly it may enable an undesirable facilitation of 'quoting'.

Still a big time saver anyway!
    👍👍

  10. Today's episode of

I guess I now have a buffing wheel once I replace the degraded AC plug and put on a new disc 😄

Even better, the lawn chair just visible to the right was a result of yesterday's scavenging efforts 😂

  11. Guess I can't hope for much in the background of construction fencing but the blue-green-yellow colour contrast caught my eye.

  12. What my neighbor saw:

His old, now useless to him electric trailer tongue leveler/stand

    What I saw:

12VDC, very high payload, 9-12 inch throw linear actuator

Which I'm sure I can build something with. But currently have no idea what that might be

    🤔🤔🤔

  13. Blissing out in the grass but still making sure that everyone knows messing with you is dangerous business.

  14. @NessaUndreza they are absolutely amazing! Saw this one on

  15. CW: Raw pork on BBQ

    See ya in the morning!

  16. Starting the day with another 🇨🇦🦖 moment.

@hackaday in reference to the HP16C calculator stated:

Most surviving examples in the world are well-used

So I reach into the hanging pocket beside the couch...

  17. CW: Food / BBQ / Meat

@hkz I'm interested to see how that turns out.

I don't think I've ever used a pan on a cook other than to just catch the fat/juices before hitting the flame. I would worry about it cooking dry and searing/burning the meat on the pan but the water pan may prevent that.

    Most intrigued.. 🤔

    🔥🔥🔥 On!

  24. A four day on and off activity that pretty much guarantees any spice/herb/rub will *not* be where I expect it to be for at least a week...

    Much needed though
