One of my buddies who does home renos is one of my #OtherPeoplesGarbage scouts.

After a bit of back and forth about price with the house owner, I said that I didn't want it.

Yesterday at 5pm I got the truck picture below with the caption 'It's on its way!'. Owner decided if I was interested I may as well just have it!

So. I now have the frame and pans for a *huge* hydroponics system! No way I can set that up in the basement. 😂

Tip to anyone doing #PhonePhotography post processing *on* the phone

Go into Settings..Display... Colour and turn *anything* that sounds adaptive OFF

F*CK!

You *cannot* post process when the screen calibration is f*cking changing as you edit!!

@TreasureDev and it wasn't degraded too much in the posting. I was curious about that. I imagine the instance or something is resampling it down to a smaller image before actually posting it.

I actually want to automate doing that *before* I post. Why add load to fediverse servers to do that when I can automate it as part of composing and posting the toot?

@SovereignAndrey it also led 5+ personal well being #LifeHack and coping strategies for the too soon Rainbow Trip for my wingman.

Doing this has helped me deal. It has forced me to approach it logically, capture it and not just plan but implement. By giving me small things I can do quickly that will just make things *better* in the future.

That's where #HelloDoggy came from. A way of keeping me exercising when I don't have a dog of my own.

@SovereignAndrey I think you'd be quite surprised. I always knew I absorbed, processed and used information in a different way than the 'norm'

After 62 years I thought I had a pretty good *idea* of my 'mental model' and how it functioned

Seeing that verified by the animation blew my mind. Sort of a meta #PKM on your own 🧠 at work

You can *see* by *how* it comes together that I am an experienced systems engineer

I have identified #Underdweller at work in the animation 🤯

Building your own very, very personal #PKM in #Obsidian captures you thinking about *how you* think, recall, research, compose, ,,, live life, ...

#Obsidian tracks how the Vault comes together by timestamping when documents are linked by #Hashtag

Work at Home without all the video/phone crap! And you get to set what you work on.

I haven't been in a video call or even a telephone conference call since I retired 7+ years ago

The reason that this is such a good *first step* is that core of it is posting a single status toot. It doesn't do replies until the control channel is implemented.

It's a simple periodic single toot poster that doesn't have to worry about privacy setting being right or CWs.

It's an 'easy' task to add an image

Posting the toot periodically is a key element.

That is also a core element of George but he does scheduling too. And handles multiple sources.

Of course, to anyone who followed along w/ the original IC. it's plainly obvious that the first programming effort should be a:

bot that announces status of BBQ smoker controller during a cook.

Pit temp, probe temps, ambient air temp. Maybe graph of progress so far attached to toot.

Opt-in, set your own update rate

Quiet when not cooking or hourly ambient air temp

Control 'channel' that allows *me* to control the smoker
