@apontious It is something you see a lot in the #PbtA enviorement, so #ForgedInTheDark which is very influent for Candela Obscura, and #Trophy and #RootedInTrophy
You can see it in #BlackSwordHack #RatsInTheWalls and another Kobayashi's games.It is a great way to decrease combat complexity, but removes a lot of DM strategy and simulation.
I prefer NPCs Do Not Roll, so DM reacting games (PbtA being my real cup of tea).
