I've been watching Kamen Rider Zi-O recently, including its "Complementation Series" shorts, and was actually kinda surprised by what kinds of jokes they got away with.
The main characters expressed concern about where the show was headed, and how to fix it.
One suggested charming the writers.
One suggested eliminating the producers.
The third suggested destroying Toei (the show's owners), which came with a visual of Toei HQ exploding.

[Review] 中國超人 (The Super Inframan) (1975)
… I’m not tired of the superhero genre, per se, just Hollywood’s lately very dull conception of it. Case in point: sitting down to rewatch The Super Inframan, the Shaw Brothers’ attempt at a tokusatsu-style superhero movie, confirmed for me all over again that this is one of my favorite efforts from the venerable studio.

I have had a #PowerRangers shaped hole in my heart since ot has been off the air. Despite my roomie being a Kamen Rider fan, I actually have landed in the Ultraman camp.
I started with the 2022 show, then the Ultraman Rising movie. Recently Shin Ultraman.
But what has really been filling my toku' heart is #UltramanOmega. The official uploads so far are fun, silly and serious is a great balance, & charmingly, cheaply made.

I don't usually do Anime NYC because it's massive and too overstimulating for me (100k ish attendees last year, probably similar this year) but I'm glad I went because I got to meet Tetsuya Iwanaga himself! I had an amazing crew with me, met some really cool people there, and I got a few nice little things from the artist alley. The toku cosplay shoot was seriously amazing.
