This week's #AniMangaPictureChallenge is "Air Conditioning"! And thankfully I didn't have to look far for this one - this is from "Smoking Behind the Supermarket With You".
Sasaki's work at "Genki Trading" is soul-destroying - a miserable boss who throws around blame, pointless meetings that run late into the night, and far too much work.
At least, on the warmest day of the year, the office is cool and the smoking room provides a brief sense of relief...
Or maybe not.

As someone utterly desperate for Summer to end, and as I just watched this episode last night, I'm not too worried about going early with Girls Band Cry.
In episode 9, the AC in Nina Iseri's tiny apartment dies, so she spends the rest of the episode mooching off the cool air of her bandmates to often hilarious effect!

I had this week's #AniMangaPictureChallenge locked in the moment I saw it, and today, I can use my physical copy of a manga as an entry!
In Hirayasumi, Natsumi is an Art School student, but outside of that, she is an aspiring Mangaka. At first she harbours a sense of shame about her choice of pursuit, but over time, she comes to grow and embrace the friendships that support her in her passion.
I saw Hirayasumi described as a "Manga about Happiness", and that's stuck with me. It's not that nothing sad happens, quite the contrary, but it IS about how all of the characters pursue happiness in their own ways, and accepting that happiness can mean different things, to different people, at different parts of their life.

Anime 1 comes highly recommended.
I've already finished the entire audiobook version of the light novel for Anime 2.
For Anime 3, I'm on volume 22 of 23 of the light novel.
I watch even more anime.

This season, my main #anime is #GoodbyeLara. This is Kinema Citrus' Revue Starlight team creating a 15th anniversary project based on the classic Little Mermaid fairytale.
From production value, to comedic timing, to heartfelt feelings, to perhaps even a moment of dark tragedy here and there, the show has so far been firing on all cylinders.
Instead of being a show about a mermaid falling in love with a prince, I think it's a show about finding joy in all forms of love!

This week? Gonna jump and mention *Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You*. Our office worker Sasaki enjoys the checkout person on a particular register at the supermarket and one day a woman invites him to use the smoking area behind the store. As it turns out, they're the same person, but he hasn't realized it. Her character is really enjoyable, toying with him at times, and he's caring in that mature adult way. @apc #AniMangaFoundIt #anime #SmokingBehindTheSupermarketWithYou
