Die letzten Tage Arbeiten an Pounce & Pandemonium waren sehr computerlastig - so ist das beim Textsatz mit LaTeX. Aber jetzt habe ich eine erste Version meiner Character Sheets fertig und kann ein bisschen analog darauf schauen.

Da wird definitiv noch eine verbesserte Version kommen. Aber im Moment versuche ich mich darauf zu konzentrieren, erste Playtests zu ermöglichen. Das hier war ein wichtiger Schritt.

Gestern noch ein kurzes Kapitel über Technologie geschrieben. Eine Erläuterung, welche Gedanken ins Design von Pounce & Pandemonium eingeflossen sind. Das Ganze im Teil über die Character Playbooks, weil es um die verfügbaren Items und Abilities geht. Wird also vielleicht nochmal wann anders nen ähnlichen Abschnitt geben. Die Planung hört aber im Moment noch noch bei den ersten Playtests auf.

Den nächsten Block abgearbeitet. Die Playbooks haben jetzt alle eine einheitliche Beschreibung, es gibt eine Liste von Archetypen, also Beispiele fürs initiale Skillen, und die Blades-typische Liste an "Friends and Foes".

Als nächstes auf der Liste stehen die Items - allgemeine und Playbook-spezifische.

Das alles packe ich übrigens in eine große YAML-Datei, aus der dann der Content gerendert wird.

Habe gerade einen zähen Block abgearbeitet - endlich eine erste Fassung der Special Abilities für die Playbooks in meinem Forged-In-The-Dark-Fork Pounce and Pandemonium fertig.
Das macht Spaß, aber auf halbem Weg habe ich gemerkt, dass ich gerne viel neu schreiben möchte. Das Edwardianische Setting for Blades in the Dark bringt einen ganz anderen Flair, der sich auch in deren Playbooks spiegelt.
P&P ist vielleicht auch bisschen weniger düster...

I'm very excited for our 3rd session of #MountainHome, a #ForgedInTheDark game about building a dwarf colony, ran by partner!
We are playing as a group of political refugees who left their old Mountainhome for more freedom and ended up in a secluded mountain basin inspired by the #LostWorld vibes, with dinosaurs and stuff.

Mit den Regeln von Blades in the Dark sind teilweise Erfolge gar nicht so unwahrscheinlich. Die Spielleitung hat bis zu ziemlich hohen Werten mindestens 50% Chance zu erzählerischer Hoheit. Ich denke, einen Action-Punkt haben PCs bei fast jedem Wurf, oft +1 wegen Setup und, wenn's hart auf hart kommt, noch +1 wegen "Push yourself", also Action Rating 2-3 im Mittel.
Das Rechnen hat Spaß gemacht und ergibt überraschend übersichtliche Formeln.

Sie sollen alle 5 grundsätzlichen Handlungstypen abdecken: Erkunden, Kämpfen, Täuschen, Verhandeln und Vermeiden.

Halb von Blades in the Dark übernommen, halb neu. Der Ton kommt in den Beschreibungen. Bisher macht's aber viel Spaß.

Bisher habe ich https://github.com/amazingrando/blades-in-the-dark-srd-content heruntergeladen und es in eine brauchbare Form gebracht: die große Markdown-Datei aufgeteilt. Daraus baut sich jetzt per hugo eine Website und per LaTeX ein PDF-Dokument.

Durch die ersten Seiten der Regeln bin ich auch schon durch. Spannend wird es dann bei den Playbooks. Aber irgendwann werde ich dann Pounce & Pandemonium auf frei verfügbar machen. :cc: :cc_by: :cc_nc_us:

Blades in the Dark hat echt Spaß gemacht. Es kann doch nicht so schwer sein, sein eigenes Forged-in-the-Dark-Regelwerk zu basten. Gestern habe ich angefangen.
Und irgendwann wird Pounce & Pandemonium Basis für Staffel 2 meiner Expanse-Kampagne Cat & Canary.

Are there any Forged in the Dark games that have contributed open content? I love that the core SRD is CC-BY, but are there any hacks that have opened their additions to further hacking?
