  1. Sometimes I'll receive a response to an issue and just cease functioning for a bit. Too many opposing thoughts and emotions at once canceling each other out. A complete mental and emotional short-circuit, if you will.

I don't think the human mind is designed to process shock, despair, rage, and exasperation simultaneously. Is there a proper term for this phenomenon?

  2. @aras Great work, Aras! If you need some help with the color science side of things, you should join the Slack! It has a bunch of people that could point you in the right direction, like Thomas Mansencal (KelSolaar). The and folks are also in there 😁

  3. Looks like Quay.io is being updated to use Patternfly V5, and I'm a huge fan of the design layout. If you're logged in, you can switch to it at the top of the page with the Current UI/New UI toggle.

Just bear in mind it is a beta, so not every feature/aspect of the original site may be there just yet.

  4. I will definitely be taking a look at the new deployment method Red Hat announced yesterday during Summit. It has potential for some really cool applications and deployment cases. I'm thinking of spending some time this weekend messing around with generating @centos and @fedora images!

  5. If anyone has run into issues with the Atheros device drivers preventing their system from suspending correctly I'd be interested to hear about it.

In my case it's a negatively unbalanced coin toss as to whether the system will actually suspend cleanly. It more often attempts to suspend about three times (I hear disks spinning down and up) then drops back to the lock screen.

The journal always points to the device driver completely losing its mind.

  6. Today, I am disappointed. It's not for any tech, personal, or work reasons.

No. It's over an acquisition. The maker of Rao's pasta and tomato sauces has been acquired by Campbell Soup.

“We’re not touching it! Anyone who thinks we’re going to touch the sauce, no.”
    - Mark Clouse, Campbell President and CEO

I really hope that holds true in the long run...

  7. @benjaminhollon For remote backup storage it may be worth checking out , , or for pretty cost effective solutions.

For a bit more can enter the mix as well.

  8. @zrail That's the one iffy piece for me. The switches have the option of a local on-device controller, but the APs don't.

For what I'm looking to do, it may not be a big deal, but something I have to discuss with others here. I'm trying to balance features with ease of use and simplicity.

I've seen come up in a few conversations, as well as and as other options in this space.

  9. Really interesting article series on the details of 's 4
