@komish @davemq Unfortunately, #PodmanDesktop had a different start-up process than I remember. This time there was an "onboarding" wizard that walked through failing to install Compose and Kubectl. The former just failed, and the latter I didn't give it permission to install as root. Also /usr/local/bin doesn't exist in #NixOS. So, I'll probably have to do a little work if I want to install those plugins.

@komish @davemq FYI... I did a #NixOS update today and tried #PodmanDesktop again, and it _does_ start now (with onboarding problems).
So, this bodes well for the possibility of experimenting with auto-generated quadlets.

@komish @davemq Thanks! That is a much better description of quadlets than I've seen before. The last time I tried to generate a SystemD script from podman I got a depredation notice and a link to some incomprehensible quadlet documentation. I was furious! Why remove something that just works and is simple, and replace it with something overly convoluted and confusing?

@komish You can use #preactjs with html template string literals by following the "No build tools route" on their getting started guide. However, the vast majority of documentation assumes you don't do that, so may not be the best for learning.

Bevor jetzt alle pennen gehen, mal noch ein paar Worte zum Schweden Abenteuer
Auf irgend einer Webseite mit Tipps habe ich einen Wasserfall gefunden, der 90m tief fallen soll.
Genau den habe ich mir heute als Tagesziel ausgesucht.
Schon früh war es auch hier warm und als ich 9 Uhr aufgebrochen bin, waren es schon 20 Grad.
Zuerst wollte mich mein Navi einen Waldweg lang schicken, den ich auch ein paar km weit rein bin und wo es überall noch Häuser im Wald gab.
Dann bin ich noch mal zurück und einen anderen Weg gefahren, der wohl der richtigere ist.
Komishc das die Parkplätze alle recht dich an den Zielen liegen. jedenfalls waren mir 500m zu wenig und so habe ich eine große Runde gedreht und es nicht bereut.
Unterwegs wieder mit Blaubären gekämpft und auch hier wieder Siegreich hervorgegangen 😁
Die Wanderung war trotz Schatten im Wald recht warm und so habe ich mache Pause am Ufer gemacht und die Seele baumeln lassen.

Große Runde ist dann auch mal rum und ich muss sagen, das ich doch ganz schön Schnaufen musste beim hoch und runter.
Der Wasserfall erwieß sich dan nals recht hübsch und als kleines Rinnsal. leider ist es hier auch schon lange trocken (sagte mir die Vermieterin danach), so das da nur wenig Wasser lang kam.
Wenn der bach dann aber Wasser hat, ist das bestimmt beeindruckend.
Danach hat mit Teen1 noch in die Spur geschickt, sie wollte Bargeld haben, damit sie sich schwedischen Süßkram hier kaufen kann.
Ich sag mal so, viele Geldautomaten gibt es ja nun nicht. In der bank wo ich erst war, gab es gar kein Bargeld (die machen sicher was mit Investment oder so was...
Der junge Mann am Schalter hat mir dann aber in mein Navi eine Adresse eingegeben, wo es einen Automaten gibt. Ich also ein zweites mal rein in dne Stadtverkehr und wieder quer durch.
Rausgekommen bin ich bei einer Mall, gut da sollte es wirklich einen Automaten geben.
Tat es auch, von den dortigen Automaten ging aber nur einer und an dem war einen drölfzig Meter lange Schlange, wo ich mich angestellt habe.
Was tut man nicht alles für seine Racker...
jedenfalls habe ich Geld bekommen, habe mir in einem dortigen Lebensmittelladen noch was zum Knabbern und Essen gekauft (also was warmes zum mitnehmen, das auch noch recht gut geschmeckt hat)
Das Essen gegessen, und wieder quer durch die Stadt, dieses mal Richtung Trainingshalle und dann noch etwas weiter, das Camp ist nämlich am nahen See Baden gewesen.
Passend zu dem Wetter 💪
Die Geldübergabe ging ohne Komplikationen vonstatten und das Teen ist Glücklich.
Dabei erfahren, das heute abend noch ein loses 3vs3 Turnier stattfindet in der Halle. Wozu ich eingeladen wurde.
Also noch mal zurück zum haus, meien Einkäufe reinbringen, mit der Vermieterin quatschen udn Hunde kraulen (die hat echt zwei süße Hunde)
Danach habe ich den Abend noch in der Halle verbracht und den Camp teilnehmerInnen beim Turnier zugesehen. Da waren echt coole und spannende Matches dabei.

@developit so I’ve got a mix of #jsx and #htm going in this project so I can get a feel for the differences.
For whatever reason, I can’t get the document formatting in vscode to get this even remotely close to look like it’s properly indented. Also missing Emmett completions (not sure if I would have that with jsx yet) and tag autoclosing.
Can’t tell if I’m missing something or my lit-html extension is misconfigured.

Pretty disappointed with the available #subsonic clients (#navidrome is the backend) for iOS out there.
Just seems like I can't get the "just right" experience out of #Amperfy (missing Chrome cast), play:Sub (chome cast support is flaky), or #substeamer (no Carplay support).
Of the options, #Amperfy is open source but I'm not familiar enough with the apple ecosystem to get it running in a newer XCode to try at adding carplay support.
Considering #syncthing and #VLC at this point.

Ich bin in einer Umgebung großgeworden, wo es normal war sich am Vatertag die Rübe wegzusaufen.
Die Tage an denen es diese Saufrituale gibt, fühlen sich jedes Mal komisch an, wenn ich nicht daran teilnehme.
Ich trinke heute immer noch, aber nicht mehr zu jeder Möglichkeit und nur noch, wenn ich Lust habe etwas zu trinken.
Alkohol und dessen Konsum haben mich definitiv geprägt.

Was haben #FahrerlaubnisEntzug und #Sicherungsverwahrung gemeinsam? Beides sind #Rechtsfolgen von #Straftaten - aber keine #Strafe. Klingt komisch, steht aber in § 61 StGB.

Sie stellen keine Strafe dar, denn das deutsche Strafrecht fährt “zweispurig”: Strafe reagiert auf begangenes Unrecht, Maßregeln sollen dagegen zukünftige Gefahren abwehren und die Allgemeinheit schützen.
Alle Maßregeln unterliegen dem Verhältnismäßigkeitsprinzip, denn sie stellen zum Teil sehr schwerwiegende Eingriffe in Grundrechte der Betroffenen dar.
