Finally got rid of Amazon's spy software on my Echo Show 5 2nd Gen (What a mouthful!) and replaced it with LineageOS 18.1. Wouldn't you figure, it's suddenly much snappier! I finally got around to putting Navidrome on my server for my music strteaming needs!

Youtube mag ich als Backend aber auch nicht. Aber vielleicht nutze ich das als Grundlage um eine alternative Android-App zu Vibe-Coden mit dem der Titel vom ser selbst gehosteten Server via #SubSonic API abgespielt wird?

I edit all metadata in #MusicBrainz #Picard, upload those to a #cloudstorage of choice (for me @transIP #Stack) with structured folders (genre -> artist -> album), then connect to @astiga and listen using #Subsonic compatible #FOSS software (#Feishin and #Tempo in my case).

The selfhosted version would be to replace the cloud storage & Astiga with hosting an #OpenSubsonic, #Jellyfin, or @ampache server yourself.

Jusqu'à présent j'utilisais le client #subsonic : #DSub pour accéder à mon compte #Funkwhale, mais il est un peu vieillot et il semble qu'il n'est plus vraiment maintenu.
Je vois qu'il existe un nouveau client qui a l'air plus récent: #Tempus , vais tester ca.

#Ampache 7.6.1 ready for the weekend.

Issues found using #Symfonium have been fixed giving us much better json support in #Subsonic.

Setup gonic, holy shit this is way nicer and quicker than Funkwhale, i will still host funkwhale for my users but i will be using gonic with subsonic clients like Symfonium and Feishin webui for my music :)

Funkwhales custom subsonic implementation is very lacking and buggy imho, their webui is ok

Having to sort out all my music files from CD rips from many years ago ahead of music subscription running out. Good I kept them but you realise both the utility of someone else doing all the organisational effort on the subscription platform and the inherent limitations due to outsourcing control. Using #Navidrome in a #Docker container which is a #Subsonic API implementation. #Amperfy is the music app on iOS and works well.

YouTube Music , «Яндекс Музыка» , Spotify , SoundCloud — относительно удобные музыкальные сервисы, но с недостатками: плохая работа в офлайне; отсутствие поддержки lossless; абонентская плата; неполная фонотека; многое другое... Их коллекции далеки от полноты. Редких треков вообще нет. Более того, музыка иногда просто пропадает из-за каких-то заморочек с авторскими правами. К счастью, очень легко организовать стриминг музыки со своего сервера. Хранить всю музыкальную коллекцию у себя на компьютере — зачастую надёжнее, удобнее и дешевле, чем облачный сервис.

I don't want scrobbling. I already handled that.

I want to generate a playlist, where the track list is sourced from last.fm, and songs are sourced locally.

Is there any way to achieve this?
