  1. @gozes I ended up switching to using guix sd (the operating system instead of just using the package manager for my dotfiles) after about 2 years of managing my dotfiles with it. There was a period were I used but and as I transitioned.

To add a bit more context: I came from after getting nix curious. Its worth noting that prior to arch, I've used many distros..I've been on linux as my sole/primary OS since ~2003.

  5. @gozes I found it while trying out and found that though at the time was less polished and had (and still has) fewer packages, I found that its approach of using scheme instead of creating an entirely new language was preferred. I also found its command line tools much easier to use then nix.

One large benefit was that I was able to switch management of my dotfiles from to guix (at the time guix home did not yet exist, but even then, it was still a pretty great experience).

  11. Fucking tax. Order a cornix on a group buy. They have a white version, a dark metallic version, and orange version. I wanted the dark metallic version so I ordered the color label as silver. I got the email today saying it was shipped out and the picture on the email looks white so I emailed them. Turns out silver actually means white and the one I wanted was somehow called a nebula. First WTF are does name in what fucking planta does dark metallic color can be called nebula (☁️) and white be called sliver. Now because the silver one has shipped I can't change it and because my brain will be forever angry at silver that's actually white I had no choice but to order a fucking nebula one so I can put the universe back in order thanks to my fucking 🧠. 😡, I'm so angry that I'm genuinely considering just melting the silver one that's actually white with 🔥 when it gets here

  14. Odd question for anyone that owns a #zsa #moonlander or a #voyager #keyboard . Can you set keys to send midi messages so you can have a layer that works as a midi controller pad by sending all kinds of midi messages? I know qmk has support for this but wander if zsa keyboards does too. I would much rather get one of there keyboards then try to hack something together on one of my qkm based keyboards

  21. @gazeshift Still well done imo. If Charlie takes 5, it needed 5.
The logical, methodical approach that many of us take, cannot guarantee a 3, or even a 4. Each approach is vulnerable to certain words / letter combinations. Yours met its match today and still got a 5. #PuzzlePraise

  22. Goes without saying (but not posting) that His Julesness is going to goof around at A Maze Berlin 2026 from today on. Will be exhausted by the end of the week, but it will have been worth it - just like the invention of the future perfect tense.
