I'm guessing it will be less detailed. Maybe even lots of "shorts". But it feels a bit like Games Workshop are going to cannibalise Warhammer TV with this new "Warhammer Academy" when it has 150 videos on Warhammer 40K, painting tips and "how to play" tutorials!

I'm glad to see #GamesWorkshop have screwed up #WarhammerTV (at least in Firefox).
They've gone for the "horizontal list of episodes that you pan through" approach. Except that the horizontal scrollbar isn't showing and you can't click-and-drag to imitate a mobile interaction, so you can't get to anything beyond the first few items 🤦

Watching the Warhammer TV "The Tithes" episodes.
I love the dark cynicism in Bullets. And the philosophical contrast of Ultramarine and Salamander in Sacrifice was interesting. But Harvest was by far the best!
The 'Nid fights were okay. But Tyrith Shiva Kyrus was awesome and I loved Atlacoya with her sign language. But then no-one else was, which mean Atlacoya was rolling her eyes and Kyrus was translating. Except for the one very important bit that she translated… differently!

Watching Games Workshop staff play classic Warhammer Quest on Warhammer TV and… I think they're getting the Death-Blow rule incorrectly.
"If there is another Monster standing in an adjacent square to the Warrior's initial target, and that is still within the range of his attack, the swing of his blade may catch it too."
Okay, fine. We used to play "adjacent" as in "round in a circle", but you could hit the one to the east and then the north because it's diagonally adjacent.
Except…:
"This mighty blow, which we call a death-blow, stops when the Warrior fails to kill a Monster with a single blow, or his blade meets an obstacle such as a wall or another Warrior."
So the Dwarf's deathblow in the first room should have stopped when it hit the elf and shouldn't have been able to hit the second goblin.
And then with the skaven, the barbarian killed two, skipped a monster, and injured a third which… shouldn't happen. He should have hit the monster that he skipped instead!

Watching the first episode of Tithes and… why was the commissar not smacking down the soldiers for being disrespectful and talking shit like that? Other commissars have put bolt shells through heads for less than that!

Awesome. I've renewed Warhammer Plus after a year away (because last year's miniatures were boring and I'd watched everything worthwhile) and there are new shows the STILL do the "video freezes at the logos or age rating but the audio continues" thing 😐

The Tithes Episode 2 looks more interesting than Episode 1 did.
But then I *much* prefer the Eisenhorn novels and other "look how the future is different for normal people, and how brutal the Imperium is" novels over big Space Marine battles.

The new Warhammer TV series "The Tithes" could be interesting. It certainly looks beautifully rendered.
But… Necrons? Meh. Not too worried that I cancelled my WarhammerPlus subscription and won't have access to it.

Lovely Warhammer TV freebies meant to remind me just how unavailable the service is in Greece :/ https://www.warhammertv.com/?utm_source=CUSTOMERS&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=WHP_20th_December_Battle_Report_&utm_content=&utm_term=

Warhammer TV is still not available in Greece, but its free content is and I thoroughly enjoyed this quite unsettling Hammer & Bolter episode: https://warhammertv.com/details/2538

Watching more #WarhammerTV - the latest episode of #HammerAndBolter.
#Warhammer40K has lore. #Warhammer and #AgeOfSigmar have lore.
#MtGArena seems to have a bunch of unrelated thematic designs in a trenchcoat.

Ah, it's the "plays five seconds then refuses to play more (but might continue playing audio)" part of watching #WarhammerTV.
And it had now crashed and rebooted the Roku TWICE! 😑

Watching "Iron Within" on #WarhammerTV and it's beautifully rendered and very character but somehow a little flat?
Maybe a combination of "this is an assault on a huge palace city, but there's lots of haze and limited battles (like a computer game giving a 'big' impression with low processing)" along with "they're going big on the graphics, not the soundtrack".
Edit: Overall good bit of lore work in a short. Picks up later.

It's shocking. I'm sitting down to watch more #WarhammerTV and it HASN'T logged me out this time! 😮

My brother says I should find an #MtGArena streamer that I like, but…
Ugh, watching other people play is boring. And video is horribly inefficient to learn from (which is why Facebook lied about it).
Also, I've got #WarhammerTV that I don't watch enough. If I'm going to watch anyone play anything then I'd at least like the narrative of a battle, not just people throwing cards around and talking about how this impossibly deep combo with very expensive cards came off this time!

Settling down to watch some more #WarhammerTV
But obviously, as it had been a month or so since I last watched it, it has logged me out. Just like every… nope, it's the only smart TV app that seems to log me out regularly 😐

Going to watch more #WarhammerTV…
which obviously means that it has forgotten my login and needs to re-authenticate…
Which it does via a web browser on another device…
Which has ALSO forgotten that I was logged in…
But it doesn't tell you until AFTER you enter the code. So you think it's "code and done", but no.
What a wonderful user experience 😑

I liked the "Bound for Greatness" episode of #HammerAndBolter on #WarhammerTV. I like what people can do with shorts to explore a detail in general. And I like world building over battle stories.
Lots of Bolter and not much Hammer so far. #GamesWorkshop

My wife has gone to bed early, so it's time to watch some #WarhammerTV!
Except it has once again logged me out, because reasons.
The last thing you want on a TV app is to be frequently logged out! 🙄
Edit: And my phone was logged out. And you get the "enter a code" before you get the login. So you think it might be okay.

Watching more #AngelsOfDeath and looking up about #genestealers, because I never remember how the generations develop.
Apparently the first "often possess three or even four arms, and are unable to use their host species technology or weaponry" and second gen "are still unable to use their host's technology".
Yet both models are wielding knife and gun!

I've already watched #Interrogator on #WarhammerTV. I liked the plot and how they showed both the human side of #Warhammer40K and the compromised people that do the Emperor's work.
Now I'm enjoying how they've done artistic "black, white and red" for #AngelsOfDeath, about the #BloodAngels #SpaceMarines.

Today is supposed to be a "learning night" where I listen to podcast-type things or read tech books or something. Trying to build habits and feel productive.
Instead, I've read part of a #CraftBeer magazine, half-listened to 30 minutes of Q&A chatter on an #OReilly #SuperStream, and I'm now giving up and watching some #WarhammerTV. #WarhammerPlus

*Finally* a show for people who have never played a game of #warhammer40k in their life, but who have nevertheless spent dozens of hours reading the #warhammer wiki
