Finished up the Warhammer+ subscriber Inquisitor model, despite the weather. It's amazing how bright it can be in a north-facing conservatory even when it's raining!

I'd still like to do better with soft highlights and colour transition. And faces. I'm still not great with faces. But I like how the cloak came out by highlighting black with Vallejo's Gory Red.

I've got Easter Monday week off. Hopefully there will be some good weather and I can break out the DSLR with a macro lens and take some better shots of all of these models!

Finished painting Marshal Ashfield while the light was good today. Just need to finish the base with some gravel and then paint the rim.

I went for an alternate committee scheme with cream robes over dark brown trousers and a burgundy cloak.

Awesome. I've renewed Warhammer Plus after a year away (because last year's miniatures were boring and I'd watched everything worthwhile) and there are new shows the STILL do the "video freezes at the logos or age rating but the audio continues" thing 😐

It's not the WORST first attempt at non-metallic metal. But it's passable if you take it as an arms-length impression rather than looking too closely!

There was some good light in the conservatory today, so I didn't procrastinate and I did a bit of painting. Highlighted up the red.

I was a little unsure as I painted because the "big highlights" were drying darker and then I thought I might run out of edge, but it worked out okay overall. I think I thinned more than before (even with Vallejo and old Citadel flip pots!). Crimson Gore through to Blazing Orange.

Spent some more time painting Azrakh the Annihilator again today.

I'm basically at the "back where I started" phase, where you've done the wash and painted over it, so it looks like you didn't do the wash, but it's actually got more depth than if you hadn't done it.

Had fun with Tentacle Pink mixes for his flesh!

Got to watch those non-metallic metals videos now.

#WarhammerPlus Tithes Ep. 2 was pretty good. Grand enough storyline, teasing out the inherent bad things and insanity of the setting. And it’ll annoy all the *right* people.

Finally found a use for the huge metal plates that came in a late 1990s mail order bits bag of Ork glyph plates and other bits!

Azrakh the Annihilator gets to stomp over a beaten metal deck!

I'm assembling Azrakh the Annihilator (the World Eaters Terminator miniature from Warhammer+ subscriptions) and… he's very nicely engineered.

Probably helped by how chunky Terminator armour is, but he's got good, clear, solid joins that sit in one place and only one place.

Today is supposed to be a "learning night" where I listen to podcast-type things or read tech books or something. Trying to build habits and feel productive.

Instead, I've read part of a #CraftBeer magazine, half-listened to 30 minutes of Q&A chatter on an #OReilly #SuperStream, and I'm now giving up and watching some #WarhammerTV. #WarhammerPlus

I've already watched #Interrogator on #WarhammerTV. I liked the plot and how they showed both the human side of #Warhammer40K and the compromised people that do the Emperor's work.

Now I'm enjoying how they've done artistic "black, white and red" for #AngelsOfDeath, about the #BloodAngels #SpaceMarines.

Painted the tusks, finished the gold, and added some orkish graffiti and some weathering. I think it's time to stop!

(I tried to put a dakka glyph inside the head, as if an Ork already found it as a shooty place!)
