I'm assuming the signals are that Historic Pauper is the next format to get a full-time queue. To which I say, absolutely, I want to be able to play Historic Pauper on a whim, and also, if MWM is no longer the only time we can play Historic Pauper, can we please get Artisan back as a regular event? Artisan was legit one of my all-time favourite formats and I miss it #MTGArena

Is anyone else noticing that the queue times for regular Brawl are getting significantly longer since Competitive Brawl ahs been introduced? Like, I don't want to play with a shark deck every time, I want to be able to play dumb jank and have at least a nominal chance of winning #MTGArena

It has been many weeks since I last played a quick draft on #MagicArena. This was a great ECL game. P1P1 was [[Oko, Lorwyn Liege]] even though I hardly ever play blue,. But hey, it counts as a green card too, right?
Ended up with a WUG deck and even if this is my only win in this event, the game itself was great. And yes, I only won because I got Oko out early enough.

This Marvel set looks good on paper but my experience with it has been absolutely atrocious. Never before has a set made me hate the experience of playing Magic more. I think I'm done.

@vyolynce Very nice 🎉 I had a similar(ish) deck in a premier draft last night, which went 3-3 but mostly due to mana screw.
Synergistic bears seems to be the equilibrium best strategy in every draft format these days, even when they really push an alternative as they did in this set. It makes me a bit sad but it's probably good for the game as a whole or something.

Achievement unlocked: trophy with Witherbloom 😂 I was very surprised, I did not think this deck deserved a trophy much less a 7-0.
(edited to add) Credit for this trophy has to go to the five small deathtouch creatures. Most of my games involved playing a deathtoucher or two early and essentially forcing a board stall until I could deploy either Additive Evolution or Germination Practicum.

Sigh. Looks like there's going to be no more Through the Omenpaths and Marvel Heroes is probably coming to Arena as-is. Great, I've got another set to sit out already. I guess it helps that it's Marvel, which I'm completely burnt out on and have no interest in interacting with, and not TMNT, a childhood nostalgia trip that I've needed to seriously discipline myself to not at least pick up a couple of avatars. Anyway, I'm off to burn my wildcards getting every OM1 style I can before they go away #MTGArena

No, I did not actually run 72% land in my Secrets of Strixhaven draft. But this particular game I got most of the mana from my deck in the first few turns. 13 out of 18 cards being lands, I think that is a record for me.
If it hadn't been for Decorum Dissertation I would probably have given up. Quickly drawing through 2 lands at a time is less frustrating than drawing 2 consecutive lands for turns on end.
Decorum Dissertation definitely won me the game here.

Surprise trophy with this sweet converge deck, going 7-2, and I'm pretty sure at least one, maybe both, of my losses were avoidable.
Arcane Omens was probably the MVP of the deck, with a major assist from Vicious Rivalry: wiping out the opponent's board and hand tends to be a pretty strong combo 😀

To anyone paying attention, workers on Magic the Gathering: Arena moved to unionize, and gathered signatures. Wizards of the Coast are lawyering up to stop them.

Great news - the devs behind Mtg Arena are unionizing!
They have an open letter to WotC laying out the details, and inviting WotC and Hasbro to recognize the union voluntarily. Everyone who spends money with WotC should put pressure on them to accept this, imo.

First trophy deck in Secrets of Strixhaven limited 😀 (and it was far from guaranteed there would be one, it's been a couple formats since I had a 7-x record). I gotta say, my experience in this format parallels what I've seen in LSV's videos: the white-based aggro decks, despite having the highest win rates on 17 lands, do not work, and the durdly Temur spell-based decks are crushing it.

@LithelyUnshod Yeah, I have to imagine it's either that or they thought the pests had lifelink.
It *is* silver, so maybe some of this is to be expected, but silver early in each season seems to be mostly full of higher level players working their way up the ranks so I don't take anything for granted.

I'm doing pretty good in my self-imposed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles diet. Haven't bought the mastery pass or any cosmetics, haven't spent my free orbs or opened my free packs, no TMNT draft or sealed, haven't burned any wildcards on any kind of ninja turtle whatsoever. I've also been avoiding consuming Ninja Turtles content from creators as a signal that I as the audience don't want to hear about this stuff. It helps that the cost to get all the cosmetics (not even counting lands, which I never buy anyway) is OVER 40000 GOLD or 10000 GEMS, for chrissake. The one thing I didn't anticipate is that without opening any packs I don't get any fresh wildcards, so it's becoming difficult to build or refine decks. I could dump all the gold I'm saving into packs of other stuff but I've got a lot saved and I really want to put most of it into flashback drafts. Got about a month to go until Secrets of Strixhaven and the temptation is getting worse every day to just dip my toes in a little, perhaps open the packs and grab an avatar or two. But that way lies nothing but shame and disgrace #MTGArena

I made a fun-as-hell Azorius Prowess deck built around Lam, Storm-Crane Elder for Slow Start Alchemy MWM. He's the only creature and it's filled with cheap interaction and card draw/selection. I can get a Lam pretty consistently and if he sticks on the field he goes absolutely friggin' nuts. I'm going to take out a few of the less impactful cards and put in 4x Dragoon's Lance and Astrologian's Planisphere for a few more threats, but I think it could actually be competitive n the ladder. #MTGArena

Did an Aftermath flashback draft yesterday, and I *somehow* won the first game despite three, count 'em, THREE mulligans (all three hands had only mana of one colour and cards of the other). I ended up in a pretty decent Orzhov sacrifice deck with a ton of those phyrexian-mana transforming creatures, but honestly the fact that the other player didn't get their third land drop for like four turns probably helped, lol. The gods of RNG were against us both that day #MTG #MTGArena
