Meh, today's been interesting. As usual I woke up around 0230 to use the bathroom, and checked Amazon Flex to see if'n anything good was on the board, especially as I won't be working the next few days, maybe the rest of the week.

3½ hours for $112? Sure, we can do that…
Oh yeah, that went well, pick up in St Peters, MO, 31 packages, 31 stops, most deliveries are in eastern Wentzville, but the last 8 or so are spread from Foristell to Jonesburg¡¡ Jonesburg is 25 miles away from Wentzville. Yeah, that ran long obviously, just for the route, plus I had a random extra package that was easier to deliver than take back, so I got it added and did that, and now I have to see if'n they'll bump my pay up, I've put in a request, but…
And after that, we grabbed breakfast from Sunrise Ranch, great food over there, highly recommended if'n you're out in the Wentzville area, then went and picked up a delivery from Walmart on the way to my chiropractor…
Annnnd, that went pear shaped, I picked up a 65 inch TV, with a Chevy Bolt. Yeah, had to move the seats forward until my stomach was nearly touching the steering wheel, maybe that wasn't such a good idea.

Chiro, coffee from Bread Co, and then home. Reading and a nap, and now here. Holos.social seems to be behaving today, none of the problems I had yesterday, so that's good. I will give it points for one thing it does better than Wafrn (•pokes• @gabboman ), Diaspora boosts display properly there, unlike this place. I am curious about where my account lives there, it was always said that it lives on your device, the relay just works to keep you connected to the Fediverse, I guess reminiscent of early mobile web browsers, but right now I'm only running it on my desktop, so where's my data?

Tomorrow, car goes to a different dealer, hopefully this one knows how to repair cars, if'n you live in the STL area, stay far, far away from Lou Fusz Chevy, they shouldn't be allowed to look at tools, let alone use them. I will type up a list of what I need this time to help, gotta look up the TSB's that are involved. I was going to bicycle home, stopping at a new diner on the way, but I've done breakfast out two days in a row, so definitely passing on breakfast, and based on the forecast, prolly going to spend on an Uber instead of bicycling the 11 miles.

am experimenting with adding scroll-snap to the carousel media viewer in wafrn :)

basically when u scroll left/right it'll "snap" to the currently "focused" image, i.e it makes sure the image ur trying to view is actually in-view and visible :3

@barkmin Heyo, I'm trying to post an art commission I got and I want to tag the artist, but they're only on BSky, not Wafrn, and posts have suddenly stopped migrating over if I attach any image to them. I just ran a test, and text posts work fine, tags, cw, and all, but it failed as soon as I included an image.

If it's relevant, when editing a post on mobile, my images appear as a link that says they aren't available, though the image seems to work when posted… sometimes? Either way, images aren't bridging regardless, and both issues only started yesterday or thereabouts, so I think they're related…

Would encourage anyone wanting to reach out beyond the Fediverse to tempt others over to our weird little shard of social media to open a WAFRN account. You can then activate its bsky functions and draw them in. What a dastardly plan! laughs in comicbook villian

Okay, so I'm putting this out there, and let the chips fall where they may cuz I'm stupid confused.

What is WAFRN really? What I mean is.. Is this an app that is meant to bridge together other socials in the fediverse, or is WAFRN an alternative option/choice for a social (network) on it's own that also connects to the fediverse for convenience?

Admittedly, this whole fediverse thing is very confusing to me. I did read WAFRN FAQs and other general information prior to opening an account, but I still don't fully "get it".

I've of course seen bluesky here, but I've also seen people from other sites like mastodon, but I'm not sure how it's happening.

I guess that's a good enough explanation of my confusion and DUHness… maybe. Sigh. Help? 🥺

Sorry wafflers, but I will more than likely be migrating my web-blog from here to quenq. I love this community, but I've found an open-source alternative to myspace, that has similar philosophy to the fediverse. As I've previously stated, its open-source, and it also has no algorithm; in its place is a groups tab, which works similar to a subreddit, and the general feed page is just profiles within the general "neighborhood" of profiles you've interacted with. Something I personally view as a plus over wafrn is that there's full html customization. I'm aware that there is some html customization on here, but it's quite limited compared to quenq.

Genuine question, is there a way to carry over blocks from bsky to WAFRN? I've been getting a lot of likes from bot bsky accounts. I can tell they're blocked on bsky because when I look at who liked my post with 11 likes, I only see 2 real people, the rest are bots blocked by one of those massive public block lists. But on WAFRN I get notifications for them all.
