  1. Tiny Core Linux: più piccolo si può?

Tiny Core Linux riesce a far girare un ambiente desktop completo in una dimensione che ricorda l’epoca dei floppy disk: appena 23MB nella nuova release 16.2

  7. Tiny Core Linux: because nothing screams "cutting-edge technology" like a #GUI desktop that barely squeezes into the storage space of a 1990s floppy disk 💾🙃. Perfect for those who believe in the philosophy of "less is more," or rather, "less is barely enough to do anything useful." 🤡

  12. I spent way too long on this for something I probably won't use, but now I have a linux distro that's able to live in the BIOS flash of a thinkpad x230

    codeberg.org/huggles/arctic

It's yet to be tested on real hardware (need to get a new x230 mobo), though works in qemu.

  13. Es broma, sí está bonito, funcional y seguro el #ZorinOS...
Y el #TinyCoreLinux tiene lo suyito para usos no convencionales, una nava suiza para el bolsillo :blobhaj_knife:

  14. @howtophil @sjmulder Gramted I do ise @bunsenlabs / #BunsenLabsLinux on some #ThinClients and if I had to install them somewhere I'd likely use @Raspberry_Pi / #RaspberryPiOS or even #PorteusKiosk depending on the use-case.

OS/1337 aims to go even more minimalist and be a sleek option for those that can acceptbsacrificing features for speed and size.

Certainly it's not for everybody but ideally it'll be the foundation for other distros that want to add the desired comfort features to it.

As of now, #TinyCoreLinux can pack a basic #Xorg desktop under 25MB...

  17. @freezr I think that's called #TinyCoreLinux or at least it was back in the day!

  18. @mrmasterkeyboard Manjaro, OpenSuse, Fedora or NIX, would be interesting choices. Or my all time underreported #distro: tinycorelinux.net/ #linux #tinycorelinux

    Yo lo usaba con 4Mb.

    > If you’re just looking for something to run VNC/RDP/Whatever to another box, I recommend TinyCoreLinux. Provides a minimal GUI and can run in as little as 10MB.

That *is* what I'm looking for. Why do you recommend over ? I know it's smaller, but the difference of a few MB will *probably* not be the deciding factor for this setup.
