I'm still trying to figure out what #Stratocasters are especially good for.
I was wrong about Dr. Know playing a #strat.
I'm down to Jimi, Blackmore, Trower, Beck, Eric Johnson, SRV, and some of my least favorite Clapton. Dick Dale. Jeff Baxter. The guy from the Butthole Surfers (unless I'm wrong about him too). Yingyang.
It's like everyone who played a normal strat after Eddie was an old blues guy???

Friday, I saw that there was a newly released set of Dire Straits live recordings. I think Mark Knopfler is one of the best guitarists to ever play so I immediately went “Oh, wonder if it’s available on vinyl?”
Moments later, I went “Why the fuck is it $250?”, followed by “Wait, it’s TWELVE LPs?”
So, long story short, my birthday present for myself was delivered today and I'm spending my Sunday evening with a host of exhausted angels. (Although, I'm not intending to listen to the whole box set tonight...)

So last night I helped Ann and Angel do a song at an open mic Peter Gabriel tribute.
Compressor pedal with distortion and direct out DI into the board. So the house PA was my amp. I liked it.

A while back I learned that #Daddario lets you order individual strings, so I made a custom set for my #Strat where the string tension ramps up from the high E to the low E.
